To speed up production of Sonic Time Twisted I am looking for another experienced level designer willing design levels in an image editor and port them and lay tiles and solids in Game Maker Studio.
This is not the easiest process in the world since Game Maker Studio's level editor blows ass. But if you are willing to be patient, I can assist a qualified candidate in learning to use the room editor.
Other qualifications include having skype so you can join the TT chat and be willing to download and use Dropbox. Please make sure you are serious if you want to apply, the position will require a great deal of work for free.
I asked her to save it but I think she decided to do a new video and upload it to Youtube instead. So stay tuned for that shortly. Sorry to get your hopes up but we'll have a video of it soon.
Aside from obvious layering problems (since it's a beta), I think it's a bit dull. It doesn't seem to have enough gimmick variety. Also it needs more that only 1 type of badnik. Level design seems to be good though. Also not a big fan of a camera that can't keep up with the character, but that probably because of bad memories from genesis days when outrunning camera would often cause collision glitches.
Also not a big fan of music. Whilst not being bad per se, it sounds kind of unsonic-y and moody. But that can be just me.

I saw Knuckles' hat on the character select screen and got all excited. XD Oh well. The stage is looking mighty fine so far. Hopefully the new music will be rockin' when it's done. C:
I worked on Time Twisted all weekend. The result was I got a lot of work done on Tidal Tubes Past, it's closing in on playable. Here are some screenshots of the progress.
Gorgeous! But, seeing the background of the Tidal Tubes's past, I cannot help but get the impression that the future version is a bit too empty. The foreground is still very good, obviously, just the background that seems a bit lifeless. Do you have plans to add anything else there? Perhaps clouds or something?
Jon was working on a 3D version of the oil platform. But I'm not sure, I can't think of anything else to add right now, maybe the right idea will come to me eventually.
