Parallel Darkness is an action/traditional RPG created in RPG Maker 2003. The story involves a mysterious youth named Kenji and his friends who become trapped within a Virtual Reality game. They must trek through four classic game worlds including Sonic the Hedgehog and Mario, but as they continue deeper into this Virtual World, another group makes themselves known...

The final game will be split into two releases, here's a preview of Release 1:



If you manage to max out the score in the Sonic World, you'll be treated to a special bonus! If you don't mind spoilers click below to see what it is!

The bonus is Super Tails! Once you've gotten a score of 60 or higher, the Special Stage Ring will appear at the end of Deleted Zone. Give the chaos emerald to Tails and this godly command will be added to the menu. But be warned, power has a price...

Also, you'll need the RPG Maker 2003 RTP to play. If you do not have it installed you can download the files here. Just extract the folder into your Program Files folder.

I'm not exactly familiar with RPG maker, but I'm pretty sure I'm not supposed to get a missing runtime package error every time I try to open your game. I extracted the whole folder into the Program Files, just like you said, but it's still giving me fits. Might I suggest making this a standalone, somehow? The concept is good, albeit cliched. Might wanna put a bit more work into it, seeing as there are at least two other Sonic-based RPGs being worked on.

That's weird... It should have worked if you installed the folder correctly. I'm kinda stumped on what the problem might be. Is anyone else having this problem?

Also, this game isn't a Sonic RPG really, It only features a Sonic themed world in the beginning of the game. I don't see myself in competition with the Sonic RPGs in development.
