My day started the same as ever, waking up in my bedroom covered in golden yellow duvet. After stretching out to remove any kinks from my post-asleep body I looked to my right I saw my alarm clock, thankfully not on due to the holidays, reading 10:14.
'A good time to wake up,' I thought to myself.
Stretching once more, I pushed the duvet off of me and got out of my bed. Yawning, I stumbled into the bathroom, pausing for a second as I rubbed my eyes. Turning on the cold water I splashed a handful into my face, finally waking up fully thanks to its temperature.
After a wash and brushing my teeth I made my way to the kitchen, deciding on cereal for breakfast. Pouring milk into the bowl until it was full to the brim, my preferred way of eating cereal, I took it along with a box of Crunchy Nut Cornflakes back into my bedroom. Crunchy Nut Cornflakes were my current cereal of the month, the beauty of so many different ones available meaning I would not get tired of the same meal again and again every morning.
Sitting down with the bowl, and pouring a liberal amount of cereal into it, I turned to my laptop. It was still powered on, as always, due to doing the majority of my downloading at night. Some were still going, much to my dismay, but there was nothing I could do but mutter to myself about stingy seeders.
My first port of call online was my multiple e-mail accounts. Nothing of interest was to be found in them, just a few spam messages urging me to both enlarge my penis and my breasts.
'An interesting combination, to be sure, but surely interesting in other ways to those who probably frequent the Oldbie Lounge,' I chuckled to myself, reminiscing about some of the more intriguing topics in there.
Thoughts of the Oldbie Lounge made my next Internet destination an obvious one, the Sonic Retro Message Boards. Upon opening the page, I noticed the New Posts icon next to the Announcements forum. Curious, I opened the subforum, and saw a new Poll topic by Scarred Sun. Further curious from the topic title of "Do you see a gradient in your browser?", I proceeded to look at the post to see if, indeed, I could see the gradient. Upon seeing I could, a lovely change from white through to orange with black text upon it, I clicked the "Yes" button to the poll, thinking everything was over.
It was not to be so, however, as after submitting my result I noticed another line to the post, and one I could not ignore. It read "DO NOT REPLY TO THIS POST BEYOND VOTING I COULDN'T CARE LESS ABOUT YOUR PERSONAL STORY".
'Well, I can't just stand idly by to a challenge like that!' thought my mind, upon where I began writing the very tale of the morning you are reading right now.
I hope you have enjoyed this tale of my morning, for I have enjoyed writing it.
