A few years back, a contest was put out for the best hack. Esrael, the creator of Sonic 2 Delta won the grand prize, with Kojichao’s “More than a Memory” making an easy first. With the new ease of hacking with utilities and the hacking scene blooming with more and more hacks, this makes it a perfect time for a completely new hacking contest.
PRIZES
???? Zone Trophy - ???? is the name of your choice! This award goes to the grand prize winner!
Hidden Palace Trophy – First place
Dust Hill Trophy – Second place
Wood Trophy – third place
Genocide City Trophy – think you have a hard game or level? This award goes to the hardest game or level
Amy Trophy – this goes to the prettiest hack
Rainbow Trophy – this goes to the best palette hack
Soda Trophy – this goes to the best sprite hack (get it? Soda… Sprite… *shot*)
Lava Reef Trophy – this goes to the longest level hack
Green Hill Trophy – this goes to the level or game that plays most like a Sonic level or game
Labyrinth Trophy – most confusing level
Hill Top Trophy – least creative level design
1337!!! Trophy – worst Sonic hack
2337!!! Trophy – grand prize winner of the worst Sonic hack… just try and make my eyes bleed
Casinopolis Trophy – the game I can get the most rings or highest score
1000101 Trophy – best technical hack
Windy Valley Trophy – best art hack
Chute Trophy – best Sonic 2 SS hack
Sphere Trophy – best Sonic 3 SS hack
Maze Trophy – best Sonic 1 SS hack
Shadow Trophy – best Hentai-based hack
WTF?! Trophy – most unique hack
RULES
1) You will have until 12:00 AM May 19 to get all of your hacks into me.
2) I will only accept savestates and IPS patches. ROMs may be accepted, but you must e-mail me first requesting permission to send a ROM
3) There are no limits on editors. Use as many as you want.
4) New Trophy’s may be added on during the contest
5) You may ONLY send hacks for Sonic games for the Sega Genesis / Megadrive, Sega CD / Mega CD or 32X. A separate contest will be held for the advance games very soon.
6) You may reach me at [email protected] for questions and for sending hacks.
7) The entry must be sent in as the following:

8) If you provide me a link in this topic, I will download your entry… just make sure it ISN’T BROKEN.
9) If you update your hack after you’ve sent me it, send me the new version. You will not be penalized.
10) I may add new rules at any time. Check this often.

If you would like to be a judge, please post here or contact me at the address above. If you become a judge, you MAY NOT PARTICIPATE IN THE CONTEST. Also note that I’m planning on making special banners for the winners, so if anyone would like to do the art for me… it would be very much appreciated ^^
