Love Almost by Dandy Warhols (sounds like that Sonic Rush Adventure song, I forget which one)
Blizzard Peaks? I just found it on youtube...I've never played the game.

No, muteKi got it right:

ALSO

Sonic Rush's theme song, A New Day. (NOT SRA)
I played the games too soon after one another, I get them confused sometimes.
Here's another one:
Azure Lake and
Smithers-Jones by the Jam (the similarity is more obvious in Bruce Foxton's
solo version).

Whoa that's pretty much just the beginning of the song right there. Wonder if it was ripped of for Sonic 3 since whoever made it thought it was a nice melody..
Here's a small one: Bridge Zone in Sonic 1 for MS/GG sounds like the first level in Twinbee Rainbow Bell Adventures for SNES. Just skip to 3:50 in this video..
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jmg9D2cMv9YWhoever playing it is playing the PAL version so it's up a pitch higher than it should be, but it sounds like a direct copy to me.
And...

Volcano Valley Zoneand
Cosmic WallI'm surprised nobody has mentioned this. The same applies to both acts.

It's Duran Duran with Planet Earth. And the intro is pretty spot on. I'm surprised I didn't notice this before what with being a bit of a Duran Duran fan...

Oh wow.
Actually, I was listening to some Korean music that sounded very similar to Emerald Hill and Casino Night; sadly, I have no idea who it was.

Clearly this is proof that Duran Duran was secretly behind the soundtrack for Sonic 1.

Nah, it doesn't really match that much. A few notes do match up, but not enough to really make a comparison between the songs.

Come on, isn't it obvious that Michael Jackson wrote Final Zone?

What do you mean? Is there an MJ song that sounds like it?
