Huge schnoz Sonic is incredible. Nice work, man.
Project Egg & Watch Oh, I just love that style.

Being a huge fan of Game & Watch games I really enjoyed this! As you add more bosses will the number of rings given stay the same for difficulty or will you give extra rings?
Well, I didn't thought of that yet, I put 25 rings just to make the thing hard/easy enough. I can add bonuses and stuff or add more difficulties (different ring count? or something)
EDIT: what's with the big nose? XD
It's a parody/homage to Mr. Game & Watch.

Haha, makes sense to me now!
Also the Marble Zone boss was just as entertaining, do I get the clear feeling there's gonna be a Spring Yard Zone? (Of course I do, but will there be?) And as for blips and blops of sound, yes please =P
Well, yeah I'll do a Spring Yard one...but Its gonna take a while, I'll have to add lots and lots of Robotnik frames (at least 3 per block (I'll add like...6 or 8 blocks total) and I'll have to add 2 jump/attack frames per block too. So Sonic can jump to another blocks or attack him.

So, what are the rules for this? IIRC, actual Game & Watches can't have overlapping graphics, is that right? That would make the Spring Yard boss pretty much impossible, because as Robotnik has to come down to destroy the blocks, Sonic has to be able to jump in order to hit him. Unless you can alternate between Robotnik and Sonic in ball form and that is enough to represent the movement clearly.

According to the picture he posted in the original post, the damage has already been done.
Although, yes, G&Ws cannot have overlapping sprites, because of how they work.

This is awesome. It kinda reminds me of those old McDonald's happy meal LCD toys. That's nostalgia right there.

Well, Im trying to reduce each boss battle to the less possible. Some boss battles would be totally broken without these overlapping stuff, its more like a rendition, I don't have the limitations of the G&W after all.

Yeah, I know. But still making it technically true to the system would break lots of Bosses here :P...Imagine the MZ one without the fire in the platforms

How do you beat the Marble Zone boss? Nothing seems to damage him.

Jump when he is directly in the "middle" position of the screen, but not exactly at that moment, or you'll miss. Jump when he's been there for about a millisecond :P
Just keep trying, you'll get it.

Just like in the original, timing is really important :P...Its not that hard when you get used to the timing, my times are around the 40 seconds total, but never tried doing a serious time trial :P

And on the front page~
...Okay, it's not as glamorous, but still! Looks great, by the way. I can already see Labyrinth Zone and Final Zone's bosses in my head.

Still, I feel important now (?). Thank you :P
Hell, I got all the programming about the SYZ boss on my head already...but I kinda need to take a rest for Christmas after all :P...
Lets see...to resume, the boss will be moving over each block, one per frame, and it will turn on boolean variables each time it does. Sonic will be able to do the same, one frame per block, and turning more variables on. Then for the robotnik's attack, if X Robotnik variable and X sonic variable is on, then he will come down to you with the spike. Then, you'll have time to move to the side, and press space to attack him (I need another variable for this, saying that you can attack him that exact moment).
After he takes the block, he will destroy it, and you'll be forced to jump to the next block instead of walking, this jumping will be the same jumping that the one when attacking, but since the variable for attacking him will be off, it will only jump. That's it.
I believe that'll be the SYZ boss, LZ will be kinda hard to do, but not imposible at all. FZ one will be awesome though.

That was fun. It'd be great if you could do all of Sonic 1's bosses.
