Normally I don't like posting topics like this, but I just got inspiration from listening to a few soundtracks that came from Sega CD games.
But I never knew that there existed some really kick ass soundtracks for Sega CD games, besides Sonic CD. For example, check out this awesome soundtrack:

This game has it's entire Redbook audio consist of orchestra tracks with some guitar and synth on the side, but all 11 tracks are using a real orchestra. I'm not much for strategy games (especially those on a 16bit console), but this definately made me want to play it just now. It helps set up the mood of the game so much, that it really does make you want to play it for more than 3 minutes at least. The voice acting/cutscenes aren't bad either, can't say the same for the PCM audio though...
Surprisingly, no one knows who was on the Dark Wizard sound team. Masaru Setsumaru is rumored to have contributed some stuff and Jun Senoue did anything with a guitar in it (his first track that you can hear on the title screen sounds like the Terminator theme for a split second, kicks ass) with Toji Akasaka arranging the orchestra tracks for the sound team. Besides the designer and Toji/Jun, no one knows who had a hand in the game overall.
So with that being said, what are your favorite Sega CD soundtracks?
