Oh, no - rather this is directed at those responsible for change. Honestly, if this is actually a real change, of all days, why pick April first?

I think I follow. I just think it's a little unfair some people think you have to either like the change or leave.

It's like... it's like trying to cook burgers for someone. Kids complain the burgers are too rare, while other kids complain they are too well done. Solution? Throw the damn grill out and destroy everything. Bring in shitty veggie and/or psuedo-burgers and call it a solution!

Sega Retro's a great idea, but unless things are sorted well the mindless destruction of lots of research and excellent informative threads is ridiculous.

Nothing, really. They hid the aganda for a long time, it gives an extra side story, shocks a lot of people, will be forever remembered, and in the end, makes it critically better because of it, but it's been a long time coming. When we look back, we'll see it all.

Yeah—a lot of people's old edits are on the Sega Retro system, and it will link up if you use your old account.

Also, we do plan to eventually integrate the two systems, so if you use another name, you'll get discombobulated.

You know I've wanted a new username for ages though. If this is due to your OCD with duplicate accounts, I have no problem with this account being renamed/merged with the new one when everythings sorted.

I don't merge old accounts with one ones—it works the other way around. Ignoring that, there is no inherent need for you to change your username and we're under no obligation to change it for you. All this "fresh start" crap is overrated, especially when you don't actually change as a person.

Furthermore, this isn't a fresh start for Sonic Retro. Rather, you should see it as the next chapter. We've been through quite a few before (Simon left, merging with SHIT/SClassic, the new server, etc. feel free to add more). There's really no reason to start over from scratch.
