Also, you're using a standard-upper-class-desktop-computer as the Retro server?
As opposed to what?
A
real server maybe?
A server can have literally any specification as possible, usually hardware is modified and designed for server use. Retro's specifications are fine. A dual-core server with 4GB RAM and 500GB of space is suitable for Retro's things. I mean, if you're gonna bitch about server specs, the SSRG's server has an Intel Celeron processor and 512MB of RAM.

BadnikNET runs on 256MB RAM and duct tape.

Hey, if I've learned anything from the Red Green Show, it's that duct tape can be used to fix anything.
Anything. If BadnikNET is held together by duct tape, than that's fine with me.

Nonetheless, we had a terrific year last year (even if we did have some issues). The wiki is growing like mad, the numerous discoveries, the start to 3D Sonic hacking, all in all, very nice.

I learned that the Gods' Bonding Agent can be used to repair a boat that has been reduced to 9 steel rods from the Mythbusters.

Looks like a real server to me. As long as it's not a VPS or a P4 or a Celeron, it'll host Retro fine. SSRG has been running relatively okay on a Celeron for a year or two, I don't think retro'll have issues on a dual core. If anything that matters more on a server than the CPU is the RAM and the hard drives, as long as they're standard 7200 RPM hard drives preferrably on SATA, which is cheaper to get now anyway, and as long as it can decently multithread (which any Core 2 Duo is fine at) you won't have any problems. Just give Apache a a few processes, enough RAM and it'll be stable for months on end.
