I usually don't care for graphical hacks but this is actually really awesome. Keep up the good work!
Sally in Sonic 1!

The only problem I have with the hack as of now is Sally's pushing sprite. She looks a little too serene... almost like she's focusing her chi rather than forcibly pushing her weight against something.

Are the levels going to be changed graphically, or have different layouts?

Oh yeah! I recognize you over from DeviantART. You don't know me, but I've definitely seen your Sonic Channel pictures before. I just wanted to say that I am really liking these Sally sprites. I find it hard to sprite things in that Sonic-y way, so this is great. Good luck.

Wait, that was him? Oh, man, I loved the Nicole. I downloaded that a long-ass time ago. No wonder the artwork in this is so good.
EDIT: Although on a second look, there are fancharacters in that gallery. Granted they were done on requests, but it's still a little bit unsettling.

Glad you like my work, fellas.

Not a fan of 'fan'characters there?
...wow, even I think that pun was terrible...
How is it unsettling though?

Fancharacters just cause me pain. Most of the time, anyway. I don't mind people having them though, and I was really just saying that as something of a joke, just like earlier in the thread when I said "Hey, f you" to someone as a joke, and Overlord took it too srsly and made it look like I was being a dick.

Funny you mention that, I did have this made in case:

Someone also suggested using her logo from her comic book mini series.

Wow, That looks really close to what I did for my Failed Campaign, except better.

Great minds think alike I guess.

New revision!!!

Controls completely revamped, Sally is slower and can't spin, but has better jumping and kick attacks (press A to do kick attack).
Special thanx to many members at Retro including qiuu and Hayate.

Sensational! Stunning art, beautifully implemented. The impact on the gameplay is perfectly suited, as far as I'm concerned. Sally clearly isn't a combat orientated character so to pop even a motobug requires precise timing, it makes total sense.

Yay, thanx, iojnekns. I rarely see you here.
Yeah I see Sally more suited to platforming-roaming and item-searching than combat and attacking. I may try to add more agility moves later on when I get a better hang of ASM hacking (anyone know how to program Mighty's Wall Jump for Sonic 1?).
I might change her attack animations too, do you think she better suits kick attacks or NICOLE lazer blast?

I like the new moves, very fluid animations with them as well, though there's a random pixel in the jump kick.
A suggestion I have would be to relocate the points numbers to the same location in VRAM that the Spin Dash dust gets loaded to in the Spin Dash tutorial.

Kicks are awesome. I love the new animations.
It definitely makes the game...harder. Kicking in the air requires 2 button presses, so it takes some getting used to.
Also when I died at Labryinth Zone Act 3, I got a scrambled graphic for "Game Over"
I did see the new ending sprites you added. Awesome stuff.
Will you be changing the title screen as well?
