I really like your Oil Ocean Oil Sinking code being based off the Quick Sand code idea. that's really clever thinking.

Does no one remember? :(

That was way before magraimon was even here, including me. Oh well, great minds think alike I guess.

Hmm...

Was Indiana Jones out before sonic2 ? It was, wasn't it ?

That may explain that ball thing in OOZ, that seems to not do anything.
Could possibly have been code for a giant ball that chased sonic (ala indiana jones/ SA (lost world) ).

THis makes sense, seeing as how sega was trying to make pop-culture references..
Maybe they thought star wars was much more popular (hell, it was) than Indiana Jones... but it begs to question why both weren't left in...

I think that it was just surpposed to act like the ball in the early Sonic 1 Prototype except smaller.
EDIT: I read somewhere that there was originally going to have a cutscene of the giant ball chasing Sonic in Sonic 1 like magraimon said. Proberly a theory through but still a nice idea...

If that rumor was true, it probably got shitcanned due to copyright infringements, we all know how touchy us americans are with our movies and musc. But still, would have been funny :P "Go sonic go! aw damnit got run over!"

Copyright infrigements ?!?!

So what, the death egg and super sonic isn't enough already :P

Fyi, the death egg was MEANT to be similar to the death star, and super sonic was MEANT to be like the super saiyajin form from dragonball Z , to interest western and eastern audiences. I'm sure that an Ij reference wouldnt have made much difference.

When you think about that and the Laputa - Castle In The Sky coinsidence with Sonic 3 and Knuckles, SEGA are a bit shitty at making something origional aren't they?

Or maybe references in games were a cool thing at the time.
remember, games werent as popular with the "common" crowd at the time. gaming had a loyal fanbase brewing, but the current market wasn't highly into games, so it mainly used pop culture references to draw them in

I personally think the death egg hit the nail on the head. Its so goddamned uber. I wish they remade it in a later, non-crapass "heroes" sonic game.

It was a floating Island =P Wow. There weren't really as many similiarities as people make out.

The fact that it was a floating island, the pillar design (used in HPZ), crystal that made it float and the fact that it crumbled at the end. All associated with the film.

In that Brenda Ross Interviem, maybe she saw the picture... the Interviem is Weird, look:

(1st question...)

There is what appears to a crocodile’s head on the desert zone screenshot, could you tell us what the rest of crocodile looked like?
I don’t remember anything like that. You’ll have to send me the image so I can see it.

(13 Question... Unavaible...)

(20th question...)

What other objects were in the desert and woods zone? There are plenty of empty object slots in the binary, so we figure that plenty of it once had data there.

The desert zone was as you see in that image, with cactus and assorted plants (She is Talking about our Mock-up? That's Weird... ) It was designed to have a palette change, which turned the sand into snow, and you’d have a winter scene. We had to be fairly ingenious with such a limited palette. In the winter zone, (that’s what I call it), instead of cactus, I had created Christmas trees, which I thought looked kinda cool. I remember the woods zone having pink flowers somewhere. Hey, I am a girl… heh.

Honestly.... must you bump the topic? that's just not right.... this topic that you made this reply to, It's not natural for people to go around and bump topics. this one is over a year old and its been a few months since the last post... If you see a topic that's over 1 month old... Please don't bump it because its obvious that the topic is "dead"...

Oi, (f)lamer, take off caps and look at the dates. This is an archive; it's not going to have a million topics in that push everything to the last page.
