OK, we're at Saturday—the thing ends Wednesday—and we're only at $180 something dollars.

That's not even a 2 and a half day ban.

Throw those ban hammers at me, people! I'm looking at you, people who have (EDIT - Inflammatory -T) in your signatures!

You can click that ChipIn thing in my signature.

Get crackin'!

Can we throw real hammers at you instead? it would seem allot more of an investment then banhammers...

I would love to but I just don't have enough real funds to do this kind of things. Christmas had already taken a lot out of me. If I had known about this before the 5th of December, I'd have thrown some money at it, but after the trip and the christmas presents I'm flat broke.

Also, over at SFGHQ we'll ban Tristan for life for free.

Correction: not "we will," more like "we did." About a year and a half ago, I think.

I checked his profile and it didn't show anything about him being banned.

Since I only have €2,00 at the moment, I donated $2,50. I'll donate more money to Child's Play when I have it.

Change it to $25 = 1 Day and donations will flood in.

Shows how much you know. You ever heard of "miserable users?" The ban without the ban?

A day ban for $75 is absurd for a guy that hardly post here. Even if he does view the forum.

I'd rather just avoid the middle man. But then again I'm also dirt poor from all the christmas shopping so I'll avoid the other man too.

This.

While donating to charity is always great, you chose the worst time of the year to attempt a charity drive. During the winter season, people are going to be strapped for cash. I, myself, would love to be able to donate anything but my family literally needs every dollar to get by.

Maybe we can really try and hit this hard after the holidays.

Sadly it still doesn't stop him from copying and pasting threads in order to makes pageviews. I mean "news."

Well, I would donate if I could, but as others have mentioned; it's the Christmas season, and not many people will have money, plus I have about £2.00 left. Sorry guys... sad.png

OK, it's the last day, and the charity pot is just sitting at over $187.

Any money toward charity is good, but I want to do more.

SO....

I'm lowering the bar. In this final day, every $20 on top of what's already been donated will yield a day of banning me, this reporter/douchebag/whatever I'm called today.

That's right...it's a Ban Hammer...

But what if I already donated?

Well, I thought of that.

I'd like to set a last minute goal of sorts. If the final tally for this fund drive hits $500, we'll re-apply the current total to the current ban hammer level. So, while the current ban stands at somewhere near 2.5 days, hitting the goal will make it 9.5 days...on top of the 15.5 or so that will happen if we hit the $500 mark.

If the $20 level is successful, it is my intention to lower the bar in 2010 to that level. (As well as maybe do this a little earlier...like November...since I've been reading a lot of complaints about that.)

Get it done, world. We're all counting on you. Click the thing in my signature below.

Apologies for the double post, this appears to be the only way the new timestamp will be reflected.

TIME EXTENSION!!

Since the fund drive decided to end itself while I was asleep, I've done two things:

First, I've re-established the ChipIn link. You'll notice the amount is back at $0. I just want to let everyone know that so far $197.70 has been raised--$187.03 (2.5 day ban) under the old limit, and $10.67 (half a day) under the new limit.

Second, I've extended the drive to December 27th. This should hopefully accommodate those who were anticipating getting money over the Xmas holiday and couldn't donate until then. The $20 / day level is in effect the entire time.

Someone donated 67 cents overnight. This should tell you every little bit helps. Get crackin'!
