I could go super sonic

Is this some sort of fan song? I don't know where I heard it first but it's horrible.

hah, Bad Religion.
Not intended to be relevant to Sonic the hedgehog, I believe.

I'm trying really hard to think of one, but there is really no song I dislike in any Sonic game I've played. I can think of loads that I love though.

If there were any songs I disliked, they'd have to be this and Sonic 2's Death Egg Zone. To contradict that though, I loved the music from Death Egg Zone in S3&K.

Hill Top Zone.

Yes. I never liked that stage and never will, mostly because of the music.

S3 supersonic is so bad and loops way too quickly that it's so annoying, the only tune in sonic games from the 16bit era I truely hate.

For a start, I'm gonna have to agree with everyone that's said Sonic 3's Super Sonic music.

Another one that came to mind immediately was the Werehog battle theme from Unleashed. The song in itself isn't that bad - but it gets really annoying really fast because of how frequently it comes up in the levels. Surely it wasn't necessary, especially seeing as a lot of Unleashed's music was actually really good; I'd rather listen to the actual level music than the same damn song again and again (just like the Super Sonic music, really).

Also, I'm not exactly a fan of songs with lyrics in actual levels of the games; especially those rap songs from Knuckles' levels in SA2. They're just awful in every way and annoy me to the point that I often have to play his levels with no sound on. And on the subject of songs with lyrics - I absolutely cannot stand Amy's theme from the Adventure games. I don't know why but it seriously irritates me, probably because it's so cheesy or something (yeah, I know a lot of the character theme songs have an element of cheese to them, but this is the worst of the bunch for me). Seven Rings in Hand deserves a mention too, as others have said, because the amount of times it appears in Secret Rings is just overkill.

I couldn't think of a song that annoyed me until I read this. It's just, argh.gif. IMO, "Follow Me" is a much better song for Amy.

How on earth did I forget that one?

Not a fan of jazz anyway, but why would they choose something so unfitting for a fight scene? Especially in the boss battles where they added some kind of trumpet effect. Sounded more like an elephant in a blender to me.

Seven Rings in Hand, anything from Crush 40 with vocals, every song from Sonic 06 aside from Flash Man and Silver's theme.

Let me just start with this timeless classic that is SONIC HEEEEROOOOOES!!

Although not as horrendous as some of the others being pointed out, I remember not being that big of a fan for the Chao Racing songs in Sonic Adventure 2. The music for the Beginner Race was a quite repetitive; and then you had all the other racing songs which had a similar tune to the Beginner Race. Probably what didn't help was amount of challenges it had.

This isn't video game related but can I say Sonic Underground and all it's ear-bleeding musical segments =P

You should have a listen to crush40's non-sonic music, which has vocals. Now that's some awesome shit, some of my favorite songs out of my entire library.

Anyway, The only music I really can't stand, is amy's themes. A close second, but actually bearable, is the Werehog battle music.

I can't stand the majority of Sonic music that includes vocals (and by that I mean full vocals, rather than say, Sonic CD that has the odd line of speech or whatever). Sonic R's tracks are especially bad, but at least they have the option to turn the vocals off. Not so much the case with the newer games with their stupid and often unnecessary theme tunes. Granted though, some of the music for Knuckles' SA2 stages are fun.

Sonic Eraser's music has grown on me over the years... and I never had an issue with any of the Super Sonic musics (and tbh if I had, it would have probably been the music in Sonic 2 for it). A few years ago there were a lot of annoying Sonic MIDIs being re-used in fangames if that counts.

oh and I'm not a massive fan of the butchered Green Hill Zone music in Sonic Advance 3. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

Oh goodness, the awesome that is the Werehog battle music is played too often. And chances are that'll you only hear the first 10 seconds of it each time it starts. That's annoying, because it constantly interrupts the brilliant level music.
