Just tried the Mettrix demo.
Sonic and Knuckles co-op is fucking awesome in Sonic 1.
Going to try and put this on my PSP if I can find it.
Out of curiosity, will you ever implement some sort of network play into E02? It would be a shame if the multiplayer option would be limited to strictly local.

Not something I hadn't thought of, but it'd be the first time I've worked with networking code, so I couldn't promise that I could get it working in a satisfactory way with E02. I'd need to get ahold of the information on it and have the time to really try and work it out. Got a bunch of platforms to try and figure it out on..

So far running really smoothly on my PSP. I've had some small frame rate issues, mainly in the special stage demo, but nothing too crippling.
Can E02 take advantage of the PSP's sexy widescreen? Kind of a shame that only a small portion of the screen is being used here.

I'm usually pretty critical of anything released by this community, but this actually made me chuckle and go "wow, that was neat". Excellent work. The music for the bosses and Bronze Lake are especially nice.

I'd love to see someone just port all of Sonic 1-3&K for the Co-Op alone. The three acts in GHZ with Sonic and Knuckles were fucking awesome as we wrecked shit in unison.
Fucking Double K.O Robotnik man.
What really has me intrigued is development on the PSP with this engine though. If there's one thing I love, it's the vidya. Add portability to that and you got my attention.

I could have it do that, but it doesn't right now. I did have a stretch option in an earlier build, but it looked ugly and slowed things down. I know you're probably talking about a full 480x272 mode, though. I'm not really sure about implementing anything that wouldn't be common to all platforms, but I could consider it

Absolutely fantastic. I especially like the Stegosaurus-like badnik.

This plays very well, nice work
One minor bug I noticed, though, in Shining Island Zone. You know that there is the transition between act 1 and 2, and the camera tries to put you back in the center of the screen when you start act 2. If you keep on moving right and don't let the camera catch you, it won't reset the camera mode to the "fast" one. So you have to go all the way to the left and then start moving right again.
Crappy explanation I know but I couldn't find better words. Just beat Shining Island Zone 1 and keep on moving right when act 2 begins.

There goes the Dash Engine out of the Window.
Ah well maybe some people might enjoy a OOP-style Lua Enviroment.
