Is KHexEdit a good hex editor?

Really, as long as it has encrypt/decrypt features, compression features, and lets you edit hex, it's a good enough editor.

EDIT: BTW, I recommend Hackman Hex Editor. It's free (stares down WinHEX for being shareware  )

EDITED EDIT: Man, I'm really POed right now - my mom has gone decorating happy and is trying to take all the furniture out of my room and replace with stuff I don't want.

I recommend Hex Workshop. It's commercial, but there is a free trial, and there are serials out there for it if you warez stuff. It has many excellent features, including a resynching compare that will greatly aid one in determining what is different between two given binaries (say if we were to find a copy of our proto, or one close to it, from another source, such that the binary was different).

Thanks for ideas. I was asking about KHexEdit because it came with my OS.
