In relation to the firearm issue, I have the feeling that he carries the gun more for show and to cause fear more so than actually using it. Has he actually ever used it (even if it ends up firing a laser) in the comics?
In fact, he wanted to shoot Sonic, but instead hit Mina on accident. She survived, but was, last I checked, wounded pretty bad.
Then I stand corrected.
Was it a bullet or a laser though?
Clearly a bullet, or does that thing he hold there when Sally knees his groin look like a laser-pistol to you? xD; (Yes, both events happened in the same issue, as far as I can remember.)

I would love for Nack to return; the guy has so much potential. I was thinking he could be a main boss in a sequel to the World Adventure series. You fight a giant Eggman mech thing by beating Act 2 at daytime, but beating Act Night makes you fight Nack, using some sort of gizmo to attack you (like a pogo-stick or some shit), forcing you to figure out how to use it against him.
Also, he is the only character who is allowed to use a gun ever.

It's worth noting he was also a used character in the Fleetway comics:

As I recall he was mainly involved with the Chaotix and Brotherhood of Metallix =P

Did they get rid of his pistol in the Fleetway series?

You know, I see some similarities between Fang/Nack and a certain Crash Bandicoot character.

Yeah, I've always imagined Nack with a more-or-less Australian accent.

I haven't checked in a long time, but doesn't Sonic Central still have him listed under villians?

My memory says no. It's just not in that frame =P

I don't think so, but I recall them putting more emphasis on size changing stuff instead

All we have to do is color him purple and possibly give him a springy tail.

You know what I want? A flash animation of Nack/Fang with the Meet the Sniper audio.
