Three days? Well... that's quite generous. Wonder what's up, other than Dom coming back and Sonic and the Death Cheese 2: HD.

I wonder if it's because there are a few surprise games being released. Glad it's been extended though. I woke up this morning and one of my first thoughts was "damn SAGE finishes today".

I had one look at the page last week and that was it, maybe I should be less harsh on sage and actually download something which looks better then trash.
*edit* I changed my mind, I won't

He had to rush it for SAGE, and is planning on polishing it up some more.

He's probably fixing all the shit we complained about.
Still won't make it a good game though.

So he Sega'd it, but unlike Sega, he's actually planning to fix it as much as he can.

It'll never make a good game as long as it is a FANGAME! It's better off as a rom hack with Deeb's Sonic sprite than this. That, and lose the fucking story; no one give a shit about it anymore.

Protip: Hacks are fan games too, genius.
Do us all a favor and take your elitist bullshit elsewhere. If you can't judge the game on its actual merits instead of judging it harshly solely on the basis that it isn't a ROM hack, then don't bother. All you're doing is making yourself look like an intolerant douchebag.

I don't know where to ask this, so I will ask it here.
the E02 engine was used to make Project Mettrix, and I can run Project Mettrix on my ppc mac. Those are the facts that I know. Why exactly is it that I can't actually use the E02 engine/editor to make a Sonic game when this E02 example can be run on my machine? Am I wrong? I see a E02.zip, but that opens up an E02.gz, which I can not open. Can I use E02 but am not aware, or am I wrong? Would someone please help me out? How do you start?
EDIT 2: Actually, I accessed some form of an editor after pressing E during gameplay of Project Mettrix. I don't think I'm supposed to do it that way. Either way, my previous edit unfortunately stands. I WISH I could make a Sonic game, or even just a level (but I need help. All I have are level design ideas, drawings, concepts, etc. I can't use them!).
I unskillfully edited a couple of tiles, then the application crashed. I have no idea what I am doing.

Ok, well I'm not too sure of the specifics cause I don't have a mac and haven't really spoken to Stealth about this, but as far as I know the game and all in game editors (level editor, tile editor and sprite editor) should function fine on mac. I don't really know why it would have crashed from just editing tiles, if you can give me a more exact description of what you did before it crashed I might be able to help. My mate told me he managed to edit levels fine on his mac, I just don't know if the scripting stuff and the artwork ripper work.
The level editor is pretty easy to get a hang of though if you wanna play around with what's there. G to grab tiles, or right click to select multiple tiles and copy ( C ) and paste ( P ). Left click to draw single tiles.
Press tab in windows to toggle the info stuff in the top left, for the life of me I can't remember if mac's have a tab key though :P Then hold down control, and you'll notice where it says Layers a list of all layers appears. Left click on one to select it for editing, or right click to make it visible but not editable.
That should be enough to get you going, play around with it till you get the hang of it. If you or anyone else reading needs more tips, just email me at [email protected] and I'll be happy to help if I can
