Will the IRC channel still be the same as the last SAGE?

Great Promo vid! Now I'm extra psyched for SAGE!
Sonic Rebirth looks like it'll do really well.

Sonic Rebirth and Nexus = epic win. I miss that old music Slingerland used for the other SAGE trailers though (41 and Rising?). :P

EDIT- wonder if Retro Sonic XG will appear...

SAGE is finally started, guys!

http://www.sagexpo.org/

Be sure to check out #sagexpo (on irc.rizon.net) and the SAGEcast as well! Lots of fun to be had for all. smile.png

I'll post my game impressions as the ones I have my eyes on get demo releases. Mecha Madness is looking to be one of my favorites for far, though!

I wonder how many games this year yet again are going to announce a sage demo and then days go by and they say "still getting ready" only to at the end just say "We didn't make it", even though they set up the booth and all. There really should be a rule that unless you submit a demo to the staff then there is no booth that they will link to. It's honestly incredibly retarded and I'd think they would have learned their lesson by now. Every single year is a disappointment because anything worth looking forward just doesn't make it.

Doesn't help what DOES make it is usually always the shittiest things ever. While I know I'm coming off pissed its been a long time coming :p And I fully stand by what I'm saying here. Guys, you seriously need to fix your submission rules. Please consider this constructive criticism from someone who's witnessed this enough times and think the staff would have wised up by now. smile.png

SAGE has begun! No time is better than now to announce my very own fangame project: Sonic CD 2. http://www.soniccd2fangame.webs.com

I waited for this day to announce this project since it's most appropriate. All details are at the project website. Good luck to all of those who have registered!

Wow this year is quite messy, there are some entries that don't even have a download but still listed, some are not even Sonic related, some aren't even fan games. Ah well, time for weeding the good stuff out.

I know, I was so looking forward to playing Sonic Gemini. Hopefully it'll be fixed soon, since the link clearly isn't working.

I've also been getting a broken link for Mecha Madness sad.png

Note to Stealth:
Something's wrong with how you packaged to the Mac version of Mettrix.
I had to "chmod +x ./e02.app/contents/macos/e02mac" otherwise the App wouldn't run. I've never had this problem before with programs packaged in zip files, so I'm not sure what caused it. Maybe because Contents and MacOS are usually not all lowercase, so the unzipping program didn't notice? (Edit: Oh, it was a RAR.... Hmmm)

Wait, what? Shit. Hang on. Let me see what's up.

Okay, I have no idea what's going on. This is apparently what Mediafire does. Try again, or try copy/pasting the list. I'm going to upload it to a few other randomass hosting sites and post links on the booth. If anyone feels like mirroring, go right ahead.

Right now I've got a Rapidshare link going too. I've never actually had the means to use hosting sites before. I mean...I'm an artist, I can just use Photobucket, but yeah, I'm...learning. As of this moment I hate the Internet and how fucking anal it is about this stuff.

EDIT: There's four or five download links now.

I don't know where to ask this, so I will ask it here.

the E02 engine was used to make Project Mettrix, and I can run Project Mettrix on my ppc mac. Those are the facts that I know. Why exactly is it that I can't actually use the E02 engine/editor to make a Sonic game when this E02 example can be run on my machine? Am I wrong? I see a E02.zip, but that opens up an E02.gz, which I can not open. Can I use E02 but am not aware, or am I wrong? Would someone please help me out? How do you start?

EDIT: I guess I had the engine after all, but I have no idea how to use it, even after reading the instructions. I am no programmer, and I don't have any knowledge how I am supposed to build a level from scratch. sigh

EDIT 2: Actually, I accessed some form of an editor after pressing E during gameplay of Project Mettrix. I don't think I'm supposed to do it that way. Either way, my previous edit unfortunately stands. I WISH I could make a Sonic game, or even just a level (but I need help. All I have are level design ideas, drawings, concepts, etc. I can't use them!).

I unskillfully edited a couple of tiles, then the application crashed. I have no idea what I am doing.
