I need some help with Tile Layer Pro.

I can make out bits and pieces of what shows up but I can't find any related tiles to try and put an image together in the arranger.

I am having a hard time just locating Sonic in any game that I have opened in TLP.

Could you explain your problem in a little more detail?

I don't know how to describe it except that nothing looks like anything recognizeable.

The colors look wrong and none of the tiles look like they would line up with another.

That sounds like a palette problem. What rom are you using?

EDIT: How many colors does the palette toolbox show?

EDIT #2: You do know how the genesis lines-up the tiles, right?

Each tile, one by one, goes below the next, until, of course, you wish to start a new column, or example.

1 6 11
2 7 12
3 8 13
4 9 14
5 10 15

It's pretty much like that, just not 5 tiles length. The tiles should line up. You have to have the format of the rom set to genesis, else the palette will only have 2 colors. And you have to have the correct palette for all of the colors to line up. Using my Specially-Programmed Gens emulator, while playing the game, you can dump Tile layer Pro format palettes to go with your editing, in fact, you can dump the VRam, which also can be viewed in TLP. Ah, free advertising. :P

Each object is different, of course, Sonic, I think is like 4-5 tiles down and 3 across, and a buzzbomber, is 2 or 3 down and 4-5 across. Just arrange the tiles so they kinda look right...

Edit it.

Import it back using sonED.
