Is it just me, or is this project basically dead. There hasn't been anything done for a long time apart from a few minor tweaks of Chimpo's work.

I'm getting my shit together after a recent shit turn of events. My actual life takes a much higher priority than making a game for you whiny kids.

Besides, if this project is suppose to be a "community" effort, shouldn't, you know, the community put some effort instead of depending on key people?

Also, Matwek, thank you very much for your contributions. I'm sorry if I haven't been able to comment on your work but I appreciate it much and will get back to you as soon as possible.

My main concern was that I just didn't want to end up swamping the 'level 0 artwork/level design' topics with edited posts and double posts.

It's almost poetic, it is... When many come together with no leader and all are equal, each will bicker for their own image to be made. Yet when one is in power and calls the shots, the followers may begin to resent their lack of control, or become dependent on their leaders hand. It is an ironic twist of fate, man will want all when given some, want instructions when given guidance, and want freedom when given a spanking.

Translation: People are never just content with things anymore.

Or just people can't find the time to do anything, why is it that whenever this project loses interest for a few days people get all philosophical.
If you want to contribute then do it, if you don't want to then don't. Its pretty simple

Maybe I was a bad leader, but we had a lot of work, concepts, pixel art, and good ideas on the old board.
Being treated like this doesn't motivate people anymore.

Y'know, I'm guessing THIS is why companies never let former CEO's meet the current ones. They always argue, as in this case with community project managers.

Here, I tried community and it didn't work.

My approach was something like "Guys, the best options are (a) and (b). Which one do you think?" only for people to not listen, add more options, or focus on retarded shit like CANADIAN ZONE in lieu of actually trying to deconstruct and understand what exactly makes a game "Sonicky".

A good strong leader is what's good for you. Not sure about one that calls you all faggots inbetween breaths, though :3

Ultima isn't a "random member", look at his join date, he is a Tech Member AND an Oldbie, while you are a random member.

Besides, Ultima is right. This project should be renamed to "Sonic Chimpo" or something along that line.

tech member, oldbie,... whatever he is, he still IS a random member. He hasn't done much for this project, so I don't see a reason as to why he (or anyone else, for that matter) is complaining. I'm not trying to insult Ultima (in case you feel like), it's just those kind of posts that put people on inactive.

Dude was hacking Sonic ROMs over half a decade ago. He has a valid point, and the standing to make it.
