So am I right in understanding that the two bridges in the arena would not be destroyed, but rather they'd sort of "roll" from side to side.
If so, that would actually be a pretty cool idea for Tropical Zone. I'd vote for it.
Although I still think my boss only LOOKS complex. Take him out and you'll see he actually has very little to show off. The extra attack is justified by the arena he fights you in. The two problems would come from be from programmer's perspective and a suitabe level area.

In the meantime I have designed another boss, this time to specifically accomodate for a zone.
So for Blue Mountain my entry is this- Egg Elemental. Again sorry for lack of original art, I'm not a spriter. I struggled with getting a good colour for annotations this time so Sonic's facial expressions will have to do.

I just realised if you use this there is a danger of Robotnik being hit when he makes the lava boil. That wasn't suppossed to be so. Spiked roof perhaps?

The ice blower could instead rotate above his head to shield him when he goes under.

It seems a good concept, but it REALLY lacks originallity. It is basically ICZ, but sometimes changes to a sort of platforming scenario with the same boss. And there isn't really much to it.
The Egg Vortex, however, is pretty good. And I agree that the fact that Robotnik is using Sonic's weakness's against him is what is needed in a boss. More like this please. Keep up the good effort.

Next time, I'll try and place all of my boss images into a single image. That will probably save the cluster fucks in the future.

I'm interested, but I dislike the way you want to break the rules of hitting the usual soft spot.
I mean, spin-dashing on that hammer sounds kinda like a cheat code. No-one would think of it, next to the designers.

Oi! That's my bridge idea replcaced with ice! :p Oh well, it didn't suit my boss anyway. What do you think we can do with my boss?

Meh, don't worry about it, I was never good with coming up with the attacks and moves anyway. But I am good a drawing designs for Badniks and Bosses. And I have noticed alot of people in this thread are using the ships from other bosses, making them lose alot of originality. So I can draw up designs for the bosses you design if you want.

0 - Its appearance is that of a robot with a clown face and a big hammer. I suppose it can appear as a midboss in the Circus Zone. In the center of the area there is one of those machine that you hit with a hammer to try to move the weight to the top (why I have the impression everyone already understood how this boss works without further explanations?)
1 - He has a standard attack that it uses to squash Sonic with its hammer (of course it is not an instant death)
2 - And here is the main gimmick of the boss. Sometimes the boss approach the machine in the center and hit it with the hammer. When the weigh reaches the bell on top, energy balls are launched out of the top of the machine and spread into the ground.
3 - But Sonic too can use that machine to his own advantage. He doesn't have enough strenght to hit the bell on top, but he can hit the weight again from below and send it flying vertically, and the weight may hit the boss to cause it damage.
- After being hit 6 times he'll... -
More energy balls fly out when the bell is hitted
- The Zone most fitting -
I wonder what zone may be ;P
