So I stumbled across a demo for some fangame that I really enjoyed. I don't think the creator's one of our boys, but then again, I don't know absolutely everyone now do I?

Silver The Hedgehog

It may be old news, I dunno if anyone's tried it, but it's a lot of fun. WASD are for movement, and your mouse controls Silver's psychic abilities (added bonus if you're using a drawing tablet).

Let's talk about Silver in a positive light for once.

I'd say if Sega were to do a Silver game, it should be like this, and on the DS. Unfortunately this demo's only 2 stages long.

Game isn't working with my setup. Not sure if it's a script error or something with my graphic chip...

Sounds cool though. I take it that the game is like a variant on Armor Games's Portal Flash Version.

Wow, I have to agree, that was pretty cool. It'd make an awesome platformer/puzzle hybrid, similarly to Klonoa.

This is a pretty cool little game. It really shows Silver's potential. It also makes me wish Sega had've used Silver's preliminary design.

Yeah I liked how it was done. As said, Game Maker can be pretty powerful if used right. There's a pretty big number of other sonic fangames on YoYo Games (Company who hosts Game Maker and such, also hosts games that are made with it), some of which are actually pretty good.

And on the topic of silver, I'd have to say yeah, Silver was a very neat design. I haven't played Sonic 06 still, but from what I've seen, he was done very wrong. Regardless though, I do think they can still fix him up and make him a good character. Basically, the opposite of what shadow was.

So I'm the only one having issues then?

Is it giving you an error message? It needs to install a plug in to work, can you give some more details?

Did you use the "Play now" feature (Which plays it via browser), or did you download it? You may want to try downloading it if it didn't work.

If it still doesn't work, then this post is probably useless :v:

EDIT: nevermind, seems like the download button for it is gone...

This game makes me want to make Advance sprites of Silver that don't suck.

That's the only real problem I have with it. Otherwise, it's awesome.

It IS pretty cool, and does indeed remind me much of that Portal flash game. I don't see any reason that this couldn't be made for the DS really.

Incidentally, what is that song playing? I've heard it before but don't remember where exactly it's from...

A seriously brilliant little game. Its hard to get the hang of at times, trying to move a block, and walk at the same time, but its a really fantastic concept. Something sega should even considering bringing to the Wii or DS.

No, it's giving me an error too and I've already downloaded the plug-in (and it shouldn't matter if it's IE or Firefox).

Am I suppose to download GameMaker along with the plug-in? Because it got to the title screen and then gave me the error.
