I still don't see why you guys have your thinking locked into place about everything just being checkers or diamonds.

I posted this way back on page 11 and the Jayextee posted it again a few posts later:

Look at that! That freaking looks like a chunk of a Sonic level ripped out of the ground and put on wheels. Look at how ornate it is! Look at those arbitrary flowery circles, and gilded borders. And think back to Casino Night—It had SONIC and TAILS in flashing lights. Can't you just see that on this cart instead of "
Asia"?

I feel bad offering "bullshit opinions" without contributing anything tangible, but it's really distressing to see so many working with such limited imagination. I will try to produce some actual tiles or something too (as horrible as they might be).

I think it's just a matter of the amount of skill someone will have to put into that to make it look like the style you're referring to, but I may be wrong.

Its kind of hard to fit stuff like that into that quick sketch I did but that was the sort of thing I was thinking when I mentioned about banners and posters, I mainly just wanted to get a colour scheme set in place which is why I was using basic block shapes to fill with colour rather then going into detail.
If you can imagin what I posted but with large colourful tent canvases covered in patterns drapped over the metal parts, along with bright posters advertising the circus and the like stuck about the place, thats how I feel the level should look.

yeah, I don't know if he read what I said about the colour, but it is GREAT, I LOVE those colours, I love that sky... that is a circus!
