Those aren't speed tubes, otherwise Hill Top also has them =P We're talking about speed tubes that are propelled using a teleporter (and proper tubes, so Oil Ocean doesn't count either).

I've read some comments about people wanting a post-NA S2 version a few pages back.
I thought of something: instead of waiting for someone to sell a prototype on eBay (or IRL), why doesn't someone try searching for a dumped post-NA version through a search engine? I'm willing to bet there's at least one somewhere on the internet someone hasn't found yet.

It may sound stupid and it would probably take hours, but it might work.

I'm fairly certain that if there was a known existing dump of a later prototype, it would at least be recognized in GoodGen or something similar, regardless of country of origin.

Because every time we get a new person to their site they're going to do just that so they can be THE MAN. I would have been uncovered, unless someone has really good Google-Fu and knowledge of Hong Kong rom sites, I doubt we'd get far.

Searching for ROMS, the Simon Wai way.

There's about 62,400 results for "sonic the hedgehog 2 rom" on Google, limited to 55,000 when using Google China. There must be something.

The Simon Wai way is how I found the Truco '96 ROM (and in fact I found it literally under the same conditions, a Geocities page in a non-English language).

Which reminds me, I gotta ask the dude who put up the SMW64 pirate video on YouTube to see what does he know about it =P

Are we sure the music thing isn't the same case as the Sky Chase music in that other empty level slot, where it's just carryover from splitting up the Sonic 1 level slots? It doesn't seem like they'd use the same music for two Zones in any other context, even if they were related by time travel or whatever.

I just think it's weird that Wood Zone never had its own song. Weren't all the songs from the final (beta form, of course) in the Wai beta? I know Hidden Palace Zone's song wasn't, but it was in the final at least.

It probably wasn't worked on enough to warrant its own song. Hidden Palace was a lot more complete than Wood Zone.

Where the hell have I been for the past week?! I know, I'm a little late.

Because of this, I think Retro needs to be renamed - Sonic the Hedgehog: Area 51

I am dead fucking serious (Or at least subtitled Sonic Retro: The New Area 51 OR Sonic Retro: Area 51 Forever). I don't believe shit with a grain of salt anymore unless there is DIRECT developer input. For years we have attempted to justify why Mystic Cave could be a "Dust Hill" and our turd selves were right for once!

I believe each and everyone of us owe Wetflame sexual favors.........along with Tweaker, Sik, and drx :)

Btw, I just got off the midnight shift from work....which is why I may sound a little crazy.

Well by that logic, wood zone doesn't count either, as there's no propulsion.

Eosian sphere? WTF? The only results that phrase returns are this site -- what am I missing here?
