I understand that the PSP's capabilities are comparable to that of the PS1.

Unless the main RAM is fast enough to assist the VRAM (it may be), That's a limitation that cannot be overcome.
and MHz don't tell the whole story.
And emulating the DC's slight full screen blur might be a challenge. That little blur meant free Anti Aliasing.

I know games can be ported to the PSP, like Powerstone 1/2 and Crazy Taxi 1/2. It's a shame more DC games aren't as well, like Sonic Adventure 1/2 and others.
I seriously doubt a playable emulator for the DC on the PSP.

Question; does the original XBOX do this too? When playing with it on a friend's quite fast television, it always drove me crazy.

Don't expect much from nullDC on the PSP. However, you can expect some interesting stuff with OpenPandora. I'm bringing this up since the developers who are working on porting nullDC to a few other platforms have confirmed that Pandora is a possibility. You should check out the videos of the prototype hardware running in action. fapfap
"Designers have stated that it will be more powerful than any existing handheld video game console."
BUT IS IT MORE POWERFUL THEN AN IPHONE?
It's CPU is more powerful, but the GPU is slightly weaker. They're made by the same company, but the iPhone has the 130MHz version and the Pandora has the 110MHz version.
So I can't wait to see Quake 3 running on the Pandora (which will be easy since it's linux based).

Are we assuming the PSP CPU and GPU clock each cycle more effectively then the Dreamcast's CPU and GPU? because that'd mean it'd be more powerful (because I'm not really concerned about the amount of MHz that much)...well..even if it is so I seriously doubt it'd be 10x more processing power as powerful. The Dreamcast has more video ram then the PSP and PS2. I guess programmers might be able to find a way around it? Is it possible to use the PSP's main memory for video ram to feed that through the GPU?
