I downloaded an IPS from Sonic-CuLt,(the one that makes sonic 1 look like beta) and I'm using ESE to patch it to sonic 1, but when I'm done, it comes up idle. could I have some help?

When you select the ROM, is the file type set to "ALL FILES"?

no, it wasn't on all files, it was on the genesis-32X-mega cd option.
what am I supposed to do?

Go into ESE.

Go under TOOLS

Then click on CheckSum Check

Load the ROM and then click Fix Checksum

You patched it wrong and your ROM is broken. =\

greaaaat, I used the Jap. version of sonic one to patch it. Which one do I use? Edit: I PATCHED it to jap. sonic 1, not used sonic 1 jap. to patch it :D

Just get the Normal Sonic 1 ROM

I'm getting SOOOOO frustrated, same thing as jap. version. Maybe my IPS is Corruped. Whaddya think?

Go here http://gerbilsoft.ns01.info:90 and get the Normal Sonic 1 ROM and use SEGATOOL to patch the ISP and ROM together.
