*000000 <_Tina_> User: Xkeeper edited by Xkeeper (new feature test ( 87)): http://sonicretro.org/r/?a=72527,72526

So yeah, uh, they show up in IRC now (usually).

Before you ask, yes, _Tina_ is my bot. Please don't be a dick to it or I won't bother keeping it in the channel.

Can you explain the nubmer in the bracket after feature test? It has different colours and sometimes it's a minus value on the same colour (we originally thought the colour was an add/replace or delete...)

I bet you never look at the Recent Changes

The number in brakets displays the number of characters added to or removed from the edited page.

"AAA" to "AAAA" → 1
"AAAA" to "AAA" → -1
"AAA" to "BBB" → 0

Yeah, it's just the change of lengths...

Color coded, too:
500 and up
499 to 50
49 to -25
-26 to -100
-101 to -250
-251 and below

I guess you could say this is a test.

*155020 <&_Tina_> New reply by Xkeeper (Announcements: Wiki edits now announced in IRC channel): http://sonicretro.org/r/?p=211360

Cue bitching and/or whining in IRC about this now.

What happens when someone posts in a special forum like the Tech Lounge or your super secret administrative forums?

It's a good addition, it could increase interest in the wiki. At least it will create more awareness.

It silently ignores it. :(

That is to say, it only reports posts in the following forums:
7, 10, 1, 13, 41, 44, 42, 40, 39, 12, 22, 4, 36, 33, 15, 8

...which is (as far as I know), all Member-accessible forums. None of the admin/tech/oldbie/whatever ones are in that list.

Member-accessible you said. But also non-members can get into the irc. Just saying.

I love the idea though.

Also, if you're going with member-accessible, you forgot 32 and 16.

Since your incorperating Forum post replies into the bot, why not make a seperate bot for forum replies and wiki edits? That way if we don't want to be updated when someone posts on the forum we can ignore bot 2 without losing the wiki updates.

Because, quite frankly, the amount of effort required to seperate them is not worth bothering.

It's possible, of course, but it would require enough work (and would push my concurrent connections to 3) to just not be worth trying.

Sufficiently knowledgable mIRC scripters know how to seperate them into seperate windows, at least.

Haha, so I did. Added those to the list as well :P
