Maybe SAGE wouldn't be fan game with a new HUD and no differences from last year style if they allowed to just have trailers of the game rather than just builds that way we would see NEW things rather than able to play them with the bugs and poor collision.

Of course, if I did that then people would be complaining that SAGE doesn't have anything playable. :P In fact, I seem to remember alot of booths last year only having a trailer, and the reaction was less than stellar.

I've got some stuff in store to make SAGE more interesting for the lot of you who have grown sick with the tendency the fangame community has for not getting stuff done. Just wait and see. There always has been a lot to do that goes widely ignored beyond just going in and downloading the 3 booths that work.

SAGE IN EVERY FIELD.

Anyway yeah, these games look promising. I love seeing things coming along so well. However, I won't be satisfied unless Drummond comes in carrying Jaleel White on his back.

Disappointment is the reality of building an event around content that, for the most part, doesn't really exist. You ought to make a decision regarding whether you're trying to target fangamers specifically or Sonic fans specifically or, if both, look towards promoting content that's compelling to both, because right now it seems like you're providing content for fangamers and trying to attract Sonic fans and disillusioning a lot of the latter category from your event.

As an example of promoting Sonic fan content, I would suggest allowing site visitors to submit questions for guests through an online form and making both questions and answers available on a live guest event page rather than simply posting entire IRC logs on the site after the fact.

Still, it is a water level, and those tend to be a tad... evil. But depending on route choices and your underwater eficacy, the first act can actually be completed in under one minute.

Man, I made that level and I can't even beat it in one minute. How did you manage that? xD

Well, we typically allow everyone to go into the IRC, heck we even set up a simple flash app to do 99% of the work for them if they just want to go in and listen to the guest. We do have interactive content under wraps, including ways to rate booths and whatnot. I probably should be more descriptive, however we don't even know when he is showing up yet as he is as bad about checking email as just about everybody is, not to mention we aren't sure at this point whether it's going to be another IRC interview or possibly something more.

We were trying not to overkill it, but at the same we were concerned with the casual guest experience. I'll look into see what I can to cater to outside fans, because your absolutely right; we highlight the fangames that are going to appear but beyond that there doesn't seem like much. We do have more interesting features we are working with, it's just sortof difficult to decide on what is best left under wraps till the event.

Because I'm good at manipulating the water physics. The tricks I employ were the inspiration of a cute little mini-game concept project I made before if you don't remember.

Richard Jacques soundtrack for Sonic 3D Blast on the saturn is absolute gold. That's sick that there's an interview with him, I would like to hear that, along with the Chris Senn stuff. More Xtreme info would be nice.

Ah, SAGE, haven't seen one of these since my early days in the sonic community. This is one expo I wouldn't mind doing a guest strip for. Let me know if you guys need me for anything.

I think he must have got him confused with Brian Drummond, Vegeta's voice actor in the Ocean dub of Dragon Ball Z.

I love this convention! It's a shame that Retro Sonic XG isn't coming. I wanted to see what it was like after the games fused. BTW, C-engine are my friend. MMF hates my guts (at least the Worlds engine does).

I'm actually a fan of Slingerland's Sonic Nexus demo last year. Granted it wasn't the best example to show off a Sonic game with the water level, but it was pretty fun! New C engine? Cool!
