Hmm, a tech forum has potential, I might just do that. Lemme think about this one.

Then you can think about SHaCk, SSRG, Cult and SClassic's Hacking Headquarters. Do we really need one more?

Sure, many of our members don't go to any of these forums. The user bases are different.

I miss the VRAM dumping of Genesyst dearly

Gens doesn't support dumping...only viewing. Sad really

Does anyone else remember Saxman's idea to make an emulator totally based around Sonic but it would never be done because the features wouldn't or couldn't be used for other games? What if some of the guys here got together and create this emulator using Gens' source code? I mean, it is open source now.

I actually was thinking about that. But in order to do it, we need to get a group together and brainstorm.

I was talking to Stef, the author of GENS, and he said that he'd be writing a full Debugging manual, so you will have the different commands for each processor.
Also, I'm re-writing the source for Gens for debug outputs. Once I have that finished, I will post the changed source for all to use in their re-coding projects. Hopefully, we can get some good Sonic-Based Gens emualtors going strong. :P
