I think that sounds awesome, particularly the strings in the background and the arpeggios. You really make the interplay between the D Major and C Major chords seem magical to me. However, I think it's arranged too much for what we want here. :P
Well, he did say he was going to rearrange it back to more closely match the original song. I don't think it should be chnaged much beyond that.
Yeah pretty much. Here's a quick mod. Still gotta mess with the B section a little. :\

Again, this might be too liberal for what you guys are looking for. Feel free to NO OVERRIDE

That's a MOD? Like a little tracker file? Amazing.
I never would have picked up on that.
That said, the piano at the beginning kind of jumps out of me, I guess becasue it doesn't appear anywhere else, other than that, YES. :D
Are you planning on making a full 2P result song based on the other part of the remix? You should.

It's on the remix side of the remastered/remixed line of this project, but I dig it and I can see it fitting very well. You get a thumbs up from me, Darkesword.

I'm pretty sure he meant modification, not module. Unless that whole post was chock full of sarcasm that I didn't catch.
Anyway, that arrangement is pretty funky! Pretty true to the original song, but with a refreshing twist that you could reasonably expect from a "high quality" version.

No, I meant that as I said it. Though I guess you're right. A modification, not a chiptune. :P

Haha...no man, it's not a .MOD. I made it in FLStudio. I've still got a ways to go in lining it up with the original. I actually hate the original Special Stage music; it's pretty harsh.
Anyway if you guys like it I guess I'll work more on it. Stay tuned.

DarkeSword, I really like your Special Stage rendition, very nice.
Cinossu, I'm loving those, and I would love to hear the whole soundtrack like that

As someone with absolutely no musical talent at all, I'd like to say that I've loved every single song posted in this topic. I'm really jealous of those of you who can create music.

Been sitting on this MP3 of
Chemical Plant for a while now and I can't decide if I like it or not.

That's a great rendition of Chemical Plant Zone, BlazeHedgehog. The only thing I would change is weaken the bass a little cause it kinda overpowers the lead instrument. Apart from that, excellent work. Keep it up!

It doesn't have that twang on the end of the last note, and I suggest adding the clunk clunk sound in the background too, it sounds too bare without it.

The instruments are a bit watery, and don't really fit the feel of the zone that well. Something electronic like I attempted to start
here might work better. I abandoned that, though, because I can't get the pitch bending right with VSTs.
I think we should try and get the guy who made the Chemical Plant mix from Hedgehog Heaven to modify his remix to fit the original better, because I liked the sound of it.
