You, me, butsecks, now. Lol that looks great I think. I think the part of the glove behind the hands a bit to big though.

Why don't you use Yarharhar's frame as a base for Sonic? It looked loads better.

Yarharhar's frame is a great one.
However, I didn't like the overall shapes and some details compared to the original, that's why I started anew.
There's a lot to reshape and add, but they'll come.

His left eye appears to be sticking out slightly. The white shouldn't be visible in front of his pupil on that eye.

Would be nice to see more frames actually, and a possible animation. Then I think we'd really be beginning to get beyond a concept with this.
Also I repeat what many others have said already, rename the topic.

Looking excellent Vincent, well done!
I'm not sure whether Sonic should be smiling. I think a more serious expression, like the face Sonic uses in the Sonic CD cover art would be more appropriate. It gives the player a feeling of, "Oh yea, this little guy means business! He ain't playing around witch youz!" If he's smiling all the time that sense of danger gets taken away in my view. I'd be interested to hear others opinions on that by the way.

I disagree. Sonic's smile portrays his attitude perfectly—arrogant, carefree, and overall laid-back. Sonic looks more serious in that boxart because he's facing off with his arch-nemesis; it's only natural that he'll take on a serious tone.
I mean, come on, Metal Sonic was no pansy. Not even Sonic could face off against him confidently.

Doesn't look bad at all, but Tweaker has a point for his smile argument.

Frowning has the disadvantage that you're going down the Ristar localisation route....

Well it's obvious that frowning makes you cool.
Just look at Shadow.

Some more shape adjusting, shades and buckles (which still doesn't look good to me)
That's the last update for today.

Like I stated one week ago, my new focus from now on will be a playable Sonic frameset.

Quick note: the buckle on sonic's shoe has been stupid from the start.

Maybe something should be done about the closest hand? It looks like he might have his hand up... erm... himself.
