I think I've been asking for this each 3 years or so, in every generation of forums, but since I don't believe there's been any definitive answer I'll try again.

    What. Is. This. Please. =(

PS: I can also Babelfish, but I'd need more info than an automated translation. I already know it has a rarity of 3 stars. =P

From what it appears, it's something the guy made himself. He comments on how a CD Sonic actually came into being later on. I'm confused why he'd rate his own creation with a rarity rating though :P

Also, I remember this post from when you first posted it a few years back. Do you remember where you got it exactly?

    Google Translator says:
    Very interesting.
It appears that it's the same package design of the MegaDrive Japanese version, to be on a CD, it would later be achieved, probably Sonic CD.

Ignoring the babelfish, I reckon either Ryoga or Tadashi could translate this... But I don't think it's an actual version of Sonic 1 for MegaCD, but rather just a mockup design of what such a disc may have looked like.

OK, since no one seems convinced yet let me translate it, regardless of it sounding natural or not:

"The only copy in the world, this is something I made for fun using the same design as the package(referring to Sonic 1's box design).
This did come out later on though(he probably means a CD Sonic, as in..Sonic cd :P)
There are still more finds to come!
I'll take a look, look forward to it!((most likely referring to his own creations off his HD from years back.)"

I suck at translating, but that's exactly what it says really.

"With the same design of the package, it's the only one CD in the world, it was made for a test.
    It came out later though.
    Rarity: 3 stars

There are still likely more various finds to come.
I'll try to find more! Look forward to it."

What's this? A quote from some auction?

    Wow, it's really old. (1996/04/21)

It seems to be a page about things valuable to Sonic Team themselves.

"???????????????????????" "This page is made by Sonic Team"

They have there different leaflets, ads and other Sonic merchandise that's rare.

Heh, I would LOVE to get my hands on a Sonic 1 Sega CD version.
Also, this brings to mind SMCD I think it was called, can't remember who it was made by, but it shown GHZ, EHZ, And CD Audio along with character swap boxes. I wouldn't mind seeing that continued =P

Any chances of translating the other items (and the title) in that site? It would be interesting to know what they are, as well.

The third item looks like just an advert in the back of a Shonen Jump (or V-Jump?) issue, and the fourth looks like a notepad (similar to the one Tom Payne gave to me).

The first one is a leaflet from the first time Sonic became known to the world - at the concert by Dreams Come True in 1990/11.

The second one is just a pamphlet ad. Still valuable to Sonic Team.

Next one is an ad from a magazine.

The fourth one is a notepad. It was the first Sonic promotion product. It appeared at Tokyo Omocha Show (toys show) in '91.

And they made a telephone card as well.

    Ah, yes, the title:

"Treasures are jostling! Compilation of debut (goods)."

    Cool, thanks a lot.

Mind if I put some of your translations in a future update of my site, whenever it's back?

No problem. Feel free to put it on your site.

And, one more thing. If you click "Back" on that page, it brings you to a page that says (literal translation):
    "~ Sonic Museum ~
    1996/04/21

This time, when Sonic has his birthday let me introduce some of the valuable items of the early period.

It may be a corner for Sonic freaks as well!!

    Debut Compilation[link] Overseas Compilation[link]

(Because it's quite interesting, I plan to reorganize it the next time.)

    ©SEGA 1996

This page is made by Sonic Team."

Yes, they used the English word "freak" there.
