Sonic Zero: Remastered

    Oh sorry, I didn't see the previous page. (BTW, I use a mac <_< so...but anyway, I found an old windows 98 laptop in the closet and ran the thing. Apparently Raving Rig isn't in this demo after all.)

    EDIT: I looked, and there still isn't any video or screenshot of Raving Rig as far as I can tell.

    Still working on tiles for it. Kaosu probably misread your post. No biggie.

    Its amazing to finally play a fangame with a decent engine behind it... and the level lives up to its name marvelously. I'm totally following this project until it's (hopefully inevitable) completion. 10/10

    So it's later into SAGE, and we've heard from good to bad. I've heard good things about the graphics being lovely, bad things about the graphics living up to their Zone name, good things about the level, bad things about the demo being too short, bugs (Jeez if you find bugs, let us know for our sake. Don't just nag about it :v: ), seen people trying out gameplay videos and more. Thanks for trying out Zero everyone. I've taken some notes and been touching up Act 1 a bit.

    I'm currently working on graphics and layout for Act 2, as well as Zone 2, 3 and 4. Concept wise though all zones have a basic idea. Kaosus going to improve the music, general things, etc. and Lark will hopefully help improve the engine whatever way seems fit. I'd like to hear what you people also are hoping for or expect from this project.

    This is where I stand, and I shall not go any farther. Push me if you dare~

    For the sake of being fair, it has more acts. the same 1 zone, but with its designated 3 acts.

    I've played as Sonic, and I must say this game is impressive. There is two bugs I did encounter though. I have no idea if they apply to all 3 characters, but anyway.

    1.) Sometime later on after swinging on the poles, instead of the proper animation, Sonic will do his falling animation on the poles. I think it might be due to him hitting a spring and falling onto the pole. I dunno for sure when. Sorry. Nevermind! The problem is that if you use the Homing Attack above the pole (like at the beginning of Act 2) and fall on it, that falling animation will happen whenever you touch one of them.

    2.) At this spot early in Act 1, I jumped for some reason, and I managed to glitch through the wall. It sent me to the upper part of the level. Here's a picture.

    That was great to play. The level layout are really good. The physics, while still have issues like the spindash not having a the correct motion speed, they felt good and didn't feel like they were a burden. Overall I'm quite impressed.

    Is it just me or is the spindash slightly underpowered? It's a great demo otherwise, though.

    Been considering the level tiles lately; I'm aiming to have more of them custom. Poles from left to right are A, B, C. The ruin platform is a design I always liked, but shows an older sprite of it. What do you guys think (on both)?

    There also was a custom Eggman statue Rathe did, but it's been misplaced. :colbert:

    So long as that pole in the middle gets a base like the left one, I'd choose the middle one; the shading looks to be the smoothest on that pole.

    The level design is rather unorthodox (the backtracking gets kinda annoying, though), and the boss could be a bit more of a challenge, but otherwise, it's looking good! I especially love the music.

    I physically can't. Seems to be an issue of newer Sonic Worlds engines or something, as older games work fine.

    Did you check the Read Me? Some people had an issue with that occuring.

    Unless the latest download forgot the read me, which I can't remember (derp at school atm).
