      Excuse the random nature of this message, but I read your thread on the uncompressed Sonic 3 & Knuckles project, and I do have some advice...

      ...if you are open to modding your Genesis, I would advise trying the RGB Triple Bypass mod. Not only will the video output improve, but you may get the audio results you're looking for.

        Also, I tried out RGB myself, and it's a pretty sweet video format. I'm sure other people on here have used it too via SCART cables or something else.

        If you like playing the old Sonic games with actual hardware, RGB is worth a shot, imo
