Sonic the Hedgehog Cinematic Universe Thread (& Knuckles)

Well unfortunately today was Paramount day at Cinemacon but sounds like there was no footage shown of Sonic Movie 2. Bummer!

 

Lee Majdoub is going to be reprising his role as Agent Stone.

 

I have to say, although at first I was worried how a live action Sonic movie would turn out, they really impressed me. I'm really excited to see main series Sonic characters (Tails and Knuckles) interact with each other this next movie. And I love how much of a positive light these movies have been putting Sonic in. Makes me happy fr

Paramount on YouTube has implied a trailer will be released on Thanksgiving.

 

Would make sense given that Sonic is going to be the Macy's Day Parade in NYC.

 

A Crush 40 member has claimed a trailer is coming this week. He did follow up a few hours later to say "it's just a rumor", however.

 

That sounds like Jonny saying that Crush 40 may or may not be doing some music for the movie.

 

Well today would've been the perfect day for it (Sonic 2sday), but I guess we'll see. I'm going to hope for one tomorrow, mostly because of the Paramount Tweet, but if it doesn't happen, it doesn't happen. No big deal.

EDIT (11/26): Welp, no trailer yet. Honestly I just feel bad for Paramount. They're probably fielding a lot of BS Twitter mentions this morning, when they never explicitly said "You're getting a Sonic 2 trailer on Thanksgiving Day."

 

It's kinda weird seeing Paramount hinting so many times that it was gonna be at Thanksgiving, aaand then it's not lol
I just hope that the trailer still releases this year, at the Game Awards or the 24/25th would sound nice, you know why

 

The trailer is reportedly done, the question is just when they're going to drop it.

My guess, based on Paramount's current schedule: their next big movie is Scream, which comes out on January 14th. I'd imagine that the trailer would be attached to Scream, so it'll probably be out sometime between now and then.

EDIT: Now that I think about it, the Game Awards seems like a likely place it'd drop too.

 

I had the same thought. Those are being held this Thursday so if that's where it happens it won't be a long wait, at least.

So yeah, I think it's more likely that the trailer will be dropping at the Game Awards.

In case there's any doubt about Sonic at TGA, I think it's pretty much a certainty at this point. Whether it'll be for the Movie, Origins, Sonic 2022 or all three we'll have to wait and see.

The Sonic Twitter is strongly implying something Sonic-related is happening as well.

 

They are going to make a huge announcement, and it is going to be a new patch for Colors Ultimate.

 

if they don't announce Waku Waku Sonic Patrol Car 2 there I personally am going to start a riot

but in all seriousness, it's cool to see Sonic at a big event like this!

 

Boy, I sure can't wait for a cryptic 30 seconds teaser showing us absolutely nothing.

 

Isn't TGA about video games? I was thinking of Sonic Frontiers/Origins stuff actually.
Although if they do show some movie stuff it'll probably be an actual trailer yeah.
