Sonic prototype stream

Those flashing lights in Sparkling Zone are so gorgeous! Should've retained them, as they're not all that distracting imo.

 

The goodbye and go go in springyard zone. Simply amazing.

 

Star Light Zone is so incomplete!

EDIT: Whoa, also Labyrinth Zone! But it has the old art!

 

It has everything people have been looking for, including the Xs in the Level Select, this, and probably Clockwork Zone too.

 

I can die happy.

 

Finally, some good fucking food.

I almost had a heart attack. Holy shit, how did this even happen.

 

I hope we get some story or context as to how DRX got this.

 

There's a good chance he won't be able to share the full story, but I'm very interested too. This is a miracle.

Holy moly that Sparkling Zone background. A true neon nightmare.

So cool this saw the light of day. Gotta say I was rooting for the "Clock Ork" error to show up and I'm glad it did lol.

edit: was that an unused special stage warp? that was kinda crazy. sonic hit a big ring, gained a forcefield, and then vanished into sparkles. somewhat reminiscent of time travel in CD.

 

Splats rules! I wonder why they got rid of it?

 

I can't believe I was so engrossed in trying to chase some data in a MAME debugger I forgot the debut of the HP stream! I CAN'T BELIEVE I WASN'T THERE FOR THE DEBUT OF A SONIC 1 PROTO! I will watch the vod but holy shit I wanted to freak out with you lot. Ah well.

 

So many old things we have been curious about for YEARS, come to light.

 

Wait... A Sonic 1 Prototype? In my lifetime? Is there a ROM download? Don't mean to be hounding y'all about it, but I used to play old beta "remakes" and playing the genuine thing would be awesome!
