Looking for S1 Proto Scans from Sega Megadrive/Genesis: Collected Works

    I saw the hand drawn map of Angel Island on a forum topic some time ago, I can't remember in which one but I suppose it's also on the wiki.

    At this point, I think the main thing all of these have in common is that Oshima-san probably drew them. The Sonic 3 drawing was probably either just for the development staff to get an idea of how the island was laid out, or specifically for the manual since there's no indication of a map screen in any of the prototypes for that game. Sonic 2's various map-screens, if they were intended to be in the game, were probably cut very early in development like the time-travel idea.
