But i have no idea how to opening it, playing and checking what there is inside. What's the best and easy way for test and play it? it's also original or just a bootleg?

It looks like a review copy, so it would presumably be identical to the final GM release judging by the date marked on the disc. I'm unsure how review copies worked for the 360, it might play in a retail console or it might be locked to development units given to bigger review sites to review early copies. My money is on it just being retail, though. Try popping it into a 360 and see if it boots.

If it is a retail copy, you should be able to use this guide for ripping games here to grab the files off the disc. There's always a chance there's different files included on these review discs for whatever reason.

    Hey Frozen,

You'll need to dump it with DVDisaster, https://sourceforge.net/projects/dvdisaster/ Once dumped you'll get a 1/1 dump that's encrypted. Please note DVDisaster will mark bad sectors with red dots. 1/2 is a worry but we can still work with most data.

After this, you'll have an encrypted image (well most of the time with 360 DVD-R's it's not actually encrypted just filesystem type edited for Gerbilsofts sanity ;)), after which you'll need to decrypt it with ISOEXTRACT http://lon-01.lo4d.com/files/xbox-360-iso-extract/isoextract.rar this will allow you to decrypt the contents.

I highly suggest releasing the original ISO if this is your intention to release, this way it's preserved properly. I'm able to test the data too if needs be having got a couple of XDK's next to me used to preserve other games.

If you need any other help we have a discord setup to help people preserve and release there data. Just PM me here if needs be and i'll send an invite :)/>

There are better means to preserve the disc, more so with redump.org guides but with how old many discs are these days it's best to dump them with any means possible just so data remains safe.

  6. I used to run a podcast and publishers would try to send us these burned discs instead of retail copies. It was a cheap way to send out review copies, as the marketing department (or outside marketing company) would have to pay full price for each review copy to send out if they're sending retail discs. At the time a lot of publishers required journalists to return the games after they finished them too, now that digital downloads exist for virtually every game they don't need to send out physical games any more.

I think they knew a lot of the smaller outfits like podcasts, blogs, and streamers wouldn't have devkits, but were savvy enough to mod their consoles. Nobody ever outright said "do you have a modded console?" but publishers have sent me e-mails saying "if we burn you a copy would your system be able to play it?" wink wink. This particular disc is likely the final build with no differences from a regular retail copy.

Sadly, it's pretty much retail. All files are the exact same size, however it's signed to devkit's as expected but same compiled time. The interesting note to this is a few files do match the hashes from the retail build, so it is highly possible this has more hidden away.

The XEX is also full of debug comments, including one named "debugmenu" so this possibly has a debug menu locked inside.

Here's a file for file comparision with a retail copy.

You're correct they did do this. Sometimes though they do have differences, maybe 60% even have debug menu's least from the 100+ I've dumped over the past couple of years.

If you have any that you no longer need I highly suggest dumping the contents, we can then compare it to see if it's anything special. And if you don't want any you may have, I'm happy to get you in touch with the right people.

    Regards,
    Damien

At the end, my copy was nothing of special... Dem. Well i think we can still take out small info over there, it's a 1 month build before official release at least.
