Huh....even though it would take A LOT of time, someone who is a die hard Sonic fan with a brilliant skill of programming, should try and make what Sonic X-Treme could have been. Someone in the hacking community most likely. Doubt it would happen, but ti would be cool if it did.

Nah, it wouldn't take too much time. Sure level design's a git, and that fisheye lens would take a bit of tweaking, but the basic engine is pretty simple by today's standards..

Someone was doing one, a while back.. I remember discussing a method to do the fisheye with them.. Who was that? They still doing it?

The code itself is probably not that difficult to a good programmer, but the difficult bit is getting a good game from it. Running from start to finish just doesn't work in a 3D environment like it does in two dimensions.

Actually, that's a good point.. What ended a level, in the original?
I never once thought about that!

Was there just a "End of the level" point, once you'd gone far enough?

Then someone should reviv that project, just include anything that was left out, like maybe have a goal ring for the ending. Also, they should make it for PC, not Saturn Emulation. Like have it available for download from the internet or something.

Hell no. It died on the Saturn, it should be reborn on the Saturn. It can still be available to download.
