Why would you entertain this idea for even a second? The Phantom Ruby must be fucking with your head.
because I rather it get removed officially than "use an unofficial Denuvo removal patch". The game is already getting slammed due to the crash issues and I can only suspect that once the "unofficial patch" is out performance will improve too. I also refuse to buy the PC version until then. I haven't even bought the PC version of Mania because of that piece of Digested Chillidog.
so the comic gives us a visual on Infinite's face because the game refused to do that for some reason. the idea of this edgy kid getting his ass beat by Shadow and wanting to 1-up him would actually be kinda neat. Especially so if he treated the shadow projection like shit during some of the cutscenes. But nah we just get some 1-and-done bullshit where his ego's so frail that getting hurt once has him kissing Emperor Robotniteen's ass and become Darth Infinite. No context outside of "i had a squad and now i don't and I'm sad." Cheapest, laziest solution they could have done. Just what I would expect! Why SHOW anything if you can just explain it all. I always said Sonic should be more like an anime; guess they're taking pages from the budget filler that gets shit out of Japan instead of more appropriate sources a la FLCL, Gurren Lagann, and KLK. Nah man we're just gonna go the Blue Exorcist route and present this kinda cool idea but do *nothing* with it and make all the delivery awful. just kidding blue exorcist at least had 2 good episodes. god damn.
So "wars_dlc04.cpk" has something... interesting in it. A set of Sanic T-shirts for the Avatar, apparently. Can't believe they actually did it.
If they actually sell this as DLC... I don't even know. Can they legally do that? They didn't make the art picture. It was probably just for Avatar testing but that's still insane.
I seriously wonder if the JP branch made that decision or someone from the A/E branches asked if they could use it for testing as some kind of in joke / knowing it'd be unearthed at some point I HAVE to know
The description of the dlc packs for the special edition on my Xbox actually mentioned a Sanic shirt. I thought this was a typo, but apparently not
So the thing is actually in the game, but it's unlockable at some point? Plz I wanna see it in action, it's the only way for this game to redeem itself *shot*
Yup. The 16 year old hedgehog has won since before he was born. Much like the Simpsons joke where Bart says Nelson has bullied him for 24 years.
:v: Must admit I'm surprised how many people here have bought Forces after it's been obvious for months that it's mediocre at best.
So what's the verdict? Buy/No Buy? I find the story a bit disappointing, but the engine looks fine and I like the visuals/music I've heard so far. What will make or break this choice for me is stage design. Are there ANY branching paths? Do the stages at least match colors levels of "quality" let alone generations (Generations had some solid level design for the most part, especially in the first 6 worlds)? I don't want to reward another truly poor effort, but if the game is better than the anti-hype made it seem, I can possibly enjoy it. Any verdicts yet?
If anyone else on the PC is having an odd issue where cutscenes stutter, it can (bizarrely) be fixed by running Steam in Big Picture mode. Yeah, I don't know either. Played up to the 9th mission, and while I'm enjoying it, it reminds me a quite bit of Sonic CD. The music and art direction are strong, and there are some somewhat-clunky but nicely unique ideas, but the level design lacks a LOT of finesse compared to what's come before. The developers might have the engine, but they lack the finesse. (This is not meant to disparage CD; Obviously much, much more has gone wrong here. I just see some parallels.)
The comic is fully out and Infinite is just an ax-crazy nihilistic asshole. Also the Phantom Ruby still has no proper origin; it just.. dropped on Eggman's doorstep one day and that's it.
