Sonic Social Media Shenanigans (This totally just happened...)

I'm a Brit too, and I'm not waiting 'til 2am! I'll wake up the next morning to find out that there's nothing exciting to get excited about......

I'm hoping I'm wrong on that last bit.

 

And I am swedish and have to wait until 3 AM. I will stay up for it however since my sleep pattern is already screwed up and needs a shift. I just hope there will be something new announced.

 

I must be getting old - I'm just planning on popping on to see what the news was when I wake up. No staying up 'til the wee hours for me - it's not like the news will disappear from t'internet before I wake up, haha. = P

Kudos to any fellow Brits with more staying power than me who're planning to ride it out 'til 2AM, though! = )

 

Thankfully the announcement will be at a decent time for me at least, living in the central time zone. Still I'm hoping I won't miss it, I'm having dinner with my girl's folks for her father's birthday later. Ah well even if I do miss it, I could just log in here and see what the big reveal was. xD I suppose most of you Brits will be sleeping and will log in later to check out things. :P I'm glad I'm on vacation right now. I wasn't sure where to post this, as it's A) a Facebook post, and B) a game idea - but not a piece of news

This has given me an idea for someone to do a 'Sonic GO!', where people hunt for badniks instead of Pokemon:

 

I have always had the idea of Badnikmon, where different types are instead based on the recurring zone themes. Important trainers like Gym Leaders and Elite 4 would be humanized versions of the Sonic cast. You end up with stuff like "Knuckles" the jungle badnik gym leader, "Amy Rose" the casino/carnival badnik gym leader, "Tails" the flying fortress gym leader, and "Shadow" the space elite 4 member.


It is one of those pipe dreams, as I lack the knowledge of advanced programming or ability to draw well to actually have it work.

 

I think the joke is more the palm tree, not the monkey.

I think it is. The smaller, rotated palm tree serving as the tail is a giveaway.

I love how people feel it's so important that corporate entities would be scared to take the piss out of it, which is what makes it so hilarious. Aaron's tweet is the only Harambe-based anything I've had a response to since the whole thing began, and I thought it was hilarious. I guess the Pokemon thing did too, but that response was more of an unamused eye-roll.
