I'll get right to the point. I know that in Episode 2, not every act has the Power Sneakers power-up. However, I am wondering if Episode 1, for some acts, whether this power-up is present in all 12. I recently ripped the music from Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1, the PC version, and I noticed that for all 12 acts of the 4 zones, there are the 'speed up' themes, which play when you get the Power Sneakers for that specific act. Since I had Episode 1 ripped, I thought about ripping the music for the Wii version too. The only issue I have is... I actually cannot seem to locate Power Sneakers in certain levels. I chose to record the music with sound effects off as I play. What I want to find out is, is this power-up actually present in every act, or are some of these 'speed-up' themes actually unused? The following acts, I have replayed like, 15+ times, and just cannot seem to spot it. Casino Street Zone - Act 3 Lost Labyrinth Zone - Act 1 Lost Labyrinth Zone - Act 2 - (11/30 - Yay, Found it.) They are. Someone (Master Emerald?) recorded all of the songs from the Wii version, and included all of the Power Sneakers tracks. EDIT: Here they are as found in the Android version, sans LLZ2: LINK
Indeed, but I am doing my own rip of the game music, and I just cannot seem to locate the Power Sneakers, within those 5 acts I listed above. I swear that I been everywhere in Act 3 of Casino Street and never came across it. I keep wondering if its hidden in a secret passage.
Honestly I don't even remember there being Speed Shoes at all... then again I haven't played Sonic 4 Ep. 1 in so long...

They could've done the tracks before designing the level layout or object layout. Like doing the tracks based off the art of the stage? I dunno.
Well, I was able to find the speed shoes on Act 2 of Lost Labyrinth. No wonder I didn't see them as I fell downwards pretty fast, lighting up torches. That just leaves me 4 left to go. It could be possible that they did make the tunes before the level design, but I am just hoping that the levels do have that power-up somewhere. Just, hidden.
