This does make me wonder something. Are Metal Sonic and Eggman getting rebalanced? Both were designed to have higher levels of strengths due to their status as non-playable boss characters originally. If no, online may get ugly very quickly. I'm not worried about Honey, though it's nice to see her implemented at long last. She's always come off as a bit average a fighter.
http://amcvt.sega.jp/model2/stf.html due for release later this year, 800MSP or 800 yen with tax (PS3) ...how much is 800MSP in USD? No word here on Honey or Robotnik as playable (secret unlockables?); not much other info is given. No word on international releases. The main Model 2 Collection page links to the developer, AM Ishoku Team, which is a bunch of people from other Sega teams (Sonic Team, Ryu ga Gotoku Studio, etc.) that also did the XBLA/PSN version of Daytona USA and Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown.
Ironically enough, mechless Dr.Eggman was more balanced than the mech version. I wonder why they didn't go that route. Or maybe they will! Time will tell. Anyway, with these new developments in mind, I think this just became a day one purchase for me. All I need is a release date in the west and I'm sold. $10
Sonic Adventure 2: Strip out part of the Battle version, include it as DLC. Sonic Fighters: Add playable characters. So much for consistency. :v:
Metal knocks off about three quarters of Eggman's health with just one hit. So I dunno. Looks like that's not been balanced at all.
Dude,,, I'm getting all of these games when they come out! If anyone wants to fight, PM me ! your going down ! I miss the days of real arcade! Virtual on and Fighting vipers all the way man !
Really cool. SEGA are doing a bang-up job releasing solid ports and remakes with actually cool and new stuff, bravo.
Ok SEGA you got Honey, Metal, and Eggman in a mech in this game. What about sum Rocket Metal plz? :v:
Most likely these new characters are unlockables that you probably have to hit a button combination for. didn't Honey share Amy's moveset?
There's actually enough Pengo assets in the game for Pengo to have his own Model2 game. I never documented them all. No. Honey shares moves from various characters. Her moveset is unique. So, my own two cents here, but I have a few things I'd like to point out, and hopefully, these are things Sega has tackled: 1. Metal Sonic had cloned-grey assets in the game, however if both players choose Metal Sonic, there would be no grey-scale version: 2. If the final Eggman boss IS playable, he has no "clone" character, except for "Egg Robot", which shares both the moveset and the title card:
