Level Select and Debug (S3+K)
In Angel Island At one of the swinging vines press Left,Left,Left,Right,Right,Right,Up,Up,Up a chime will sound if you entered it fast enough. Press Start to pause and press A to reset to the begining. At the title screen press Up or Down to access the Sound Test/Level select option.In that area select Mushroom Hill and go to one of the rachet machines and enter the above. Now when you start again you can change into everything in that zone. Pressing A while paused will reset don't worry the code is still active,Pressing B Will change you into a coin,and Pressing C will change the coin into different things and A will set it.

Sega probably made it intentionally that hard because they didn't want people seeing the unfinished level select crap.

Oh and, the sonic 2 and 3 thing works because it keeps the level select data in the RAM, and it just happens to be the same.

I would have to try that sometime.... I need to get a Sonic 3 Cartdrige though, and old Sonic Mega Drive games go anywhere from easy to hard to find. I see lots of Sonic 1 carts, but I have NOT yet seen a Sonic 3 cart in game shops. But I DID get lucky the other day and got Sonic CD for Mega CD for only ?4 (four pounds), and it works perfectly!

Anyways, when I find a Sonic 3 cart in a shop, I will buy it. I got a Mega Drive, a control pad, Sonic 1, Sonic 2, Sonic And Knuckles. after (and when) I get 3, I just need 3D and Spinball to complete the collection ^^

I did say that the code was from S3+K. And, doesn't the one in Angel Island work? And in the Level Select screen, you can select Mushroom Hill (why?).

Huh? Could you repeat that in a way that makes sense?

If I know what you're saying, this only applies for S&K Collection (PC).
Anyone ever try the play as Knuckles in Sonic 3 through this cheat in S&K collection? I actually had a guy ask me if I could play as Knuckles in Sonic 3 (answer=yes, sort of).

Yeah, you can simulate the cartridge swap by loading a savestate from other Sonic game with all the codes enabled, then "soft" resetting the game (CTRL+TAB in Kega).
