I just found out that Sonic was originally created by, guess what, the Nazis! I'm not saying that for being a jackass or racist, but it's true. The Germans would draw little animals on their fighter-planes for fun. In fact, they created sonic by mistake!

I read this up on the 'Net, and I want to know if it is true. So is it???

I don't think that is true. People have drawn animals for ages!

No, the same exact figure of the Sonic that we know from the '90s.

    Somewhere in the skies
    Nothing worth mentioning
If what you say is true, then that obviously means that what this site says here is true: Mario is a Communist!

If you are referring to the plane that Tails flies in Sonic 2 and Sonic 3, that particular plane is based off a Russian plane... and if my memory serves correct, the plane was called the Polikarpov I-153 Chaika

    Span: 10.2 metres
    Length: 6.1 metres
    Height: 2.95 metres
    Weight:
    - Empty: 1,348 kilogrammes
    - Maximum: 2,010 kilogrammes
Power Plant: 800 horsepower Shetsov M-62R
    Performance:
    - Maximum Speed: 444 kilometres per hour
    - Ceiling: 35,100 feet
    - Range: 875 kilometres

EDIT: You can see pictures of the plane at here just scroll down until you get to the photos.

    I knew it ! ;)

No Dr.Eggman, I believe he means the actual character of sonic. Its not entirely
implausible. After all, sonic's basic design isn't very complex.

The "MADE IN 1947 BUT FOR THE 90's" thing.

Yeah I know what it is, just if it's not about the nazi plane drawings, what is it about?

I believe Rika's sig features some sort of a card, that happens to have Sonic on it. The "1947" thing is most likely a reference to some critical event in Sega's history. Since Sega was founded in the 40's, it stands to reason that it probably underwent some big change or move in its early years. Namely, '47.

Unfortunately, Sega's corporate history doesn't help clear up this mystery.

    Japanese marketing sillyness.

Seriously guys, have you never seen Sonic's early sketches? They were made in the early 90's...

I know I'll get shot for mentioning Shadow, but wouldn't that "made in 1947" thing apply more to Shadow anyway? After all, one can ony guess that if Space Colony ARK was shut down 50 years before SA2, then Shadow was probably around for longer than that time. And Sonic is only in his mid-teens!
But alas, the card shows Sonic, not Shadow.

Sorry if this sounds too harsh, but you shouldn't waste your trial posts like this...

Oh, get off that, ICEknight. He's not wasting trial posts. It's almost impossible to waste trial posts under the new system.

Heh, there was this cartoon that aired a while back. I think it was called Hysteria or something. Anyway Stalin comes into this office and this lady goes, "oh, for a minute there I thought you were that Super Mario guy!"
