Anyone know if there's going to be a Mac version?

Steam would be cool, but this would make a killing if put in the Mac App Store, so few games in there, anything new gets eaten up like chocolate gold.

You realize that's one of Apples biggest blunders yes? </for another topic>

In any case, interesting to see all this Steam registry nonsense pop up and down, but it doesn't change the fact that we currently have... Nothing. On the bright side, Sonic 4 Ep. 1 wasn't that great anyway, and Sonic CD is practically out on everything else; the PC could also, of course, run an ISO of the older version on KEGA or run the original PC version of CD, but considering this is one of the few times a remake does more good/(great) than harm, I guess it still is a letdown and or problem...

I'm not sure if this is known about here or not, but several users on the Android market (myself included) are having trouble downloading the extra files required for the game to run. I know there's a warning to expect 'slower than usual' download speeds but mine keeps cutting off at about 65-70%, popping up an error in the process forcing me to reset the download.
I'm not complaining or anything (I already have Taxman's SCD on my 360), but I was wondering if anyone else is having similar issues or if Taxman can offer any insight into this? :v:

Shoot me twice, not only was it known since day one, three attempts later and it decided to work. Not that the game runs fantastically on a Nexus One but that's what upgrades are for! Again, great job on the game Taxman, I'll probably be dropping even more dollar for the Steam version when it hits. :v:

According to Eurogamer, Sonic CD and Sonic 4 Episode I will be released today, along with the Casino Night DLC for Generations.

Well it's been a long wait, but it will be over soon. Once you've enjoyed the hell out of Sonic CD, you can inflict torture on yourselves by playing Episode I. Who knows what is different. Only one way to find out...

If we buy Episode 1 on Steam, can we use it as one of our multiple copies of the game posted so that I can get Ken Balough to tell me Buy More Sonic 4 in Spanish or an autographed bit of his beard?

Because I'd drop $5 for that.

Sega seem to think it's on sale now. It's not, but means it should be soon!

figures that it finally comes out after I have no money. oh well, I at least bought 8 other copies, so that should be enough sales from me (3 360, 2 PSN, 3 Android)

I got the GamersGate deal and it's teasing me by informing me I haven't viewed my serial number but not giving me the ability to use it.

\/\/\/ Out in US as well, still not on GamersGate

CD runs really great. I also appreciated they changed the translation for the first achievement and changed km back to miles to keep the BttF citation (although this was a problem only in the Italian version).

You still get an instant 1-up if you time travel, have more than 100 rings and collect one.

I bought it on Steam again. (And gifting someone I know. So I spent $15 on Sonic CD!)

It's probably just me but does Sonic CD look a bit blurry to anyone else? I have it set on Sharp but it still looks blurry.

Nostalgia filter is the one that is plain pixel output. Are you running it in 640x480 by any chance? The devs behind the Steam port didn't turn off bi-linear filtering when the resolution of the screen matches the internal buffer so in 640x480 there is always a little blur. This is funny to say since the Retro Engine already has a PC version, but the Steam version is actually a port of the console port.

I've been running it at 1320x768 and there's still a considerable amount of blur with either of the two new filters (and a little with nostalgia, but not that much. The text on the settings screen is also very odd - there appears to be a considerable amount of ghosting going on there...

Other than that, runs like a charm! Keyboard controls seem to be half functional, but gamepad is superior anyway and works perfectly.
Seriously impressed by the smoothness of this port, and OH THOSE SPECIAL ZONES. Gorgeous.

By the way... whoever thought of making C work for jumping instead of the controller's misleading "Z only" key?

    I love you.

I'm running 720x480. I tried the Nostalgia filter and it still looks blurry.

The game runs in turbo speed on Fullscreen mode for me, but fine on Windowed mode. Looks good, too! I got letterboxing on the XBLA port because my monitor is 16:10, so it was a little blurry, but here it's crystal clear.
