Sky Sanctuary Act 1: 1:06.78 (Forgot what I got for Centiseconds but I did get 1:06.) I could have gotten 1:05 easy but I messed up at the very end.
Well, I have been playing some 30 second trial, but at the moment I only have one other person to compare signposts with :P
1:38:03 for Chemical Plant 2... could definitely get well into the 1:37 range if some of the more finer exploits weren't finicky as all hell. Like Crisis City before it, I'm totally burned out of this stage. Also, there's really no reason at all to continue spoilering the times list. The game's been out for nearly two weeks, and even then, all the stages and bosses were already revealed in official trailers and other material prior.
Planet Wisp Act 1 is a bitch to speedrun. There are a lot of places where you can mess up (or simply a Spike Wisp not working properly), but somehow I managed a 03:27:09 (XBLA) and are currently number 6. Act 2 is even harder. I simpy don't understand which one is the fastest route.
I don't know how to cut my time down from like 1:50. What are you doing to get such a time? Can you post a video maybe? Also how exactly do you abuse that super jump glitch?
trimmed my speed highway act 2 down to 1:36.02, I strongly believe I can get it down to 1:35.50 but while I am #1 I'm leaving it at that (on xbl), actually feel quite amazed that I have a top for something that I enjoy heh. Next challenge for me is chemical plant act 2, at first I thought the layout would be a bit whack but the developers had speed runs on the mind when building it once you do some runs.
You can skip all the shitty parts of CPZ2. Moreso than the average modern level. The first shortcut is a complete whore though.
Well, took me long enough to upload it. While uploading I managed to up the record a bit to 1:43.71 but I'm pretty much using the same route in the video. Seeing how everyone's practically destroying Chemical Plant Act 2 and Speed Highway Act 2, I'm gonna leave the latter at 1:41.59 and call it a day. Being currently in the top 10 on steam (As lucky number 7 on all 3 modern stages so far) feels pretty darn good considering I didn't do speedruns in past games that much. I'm definitely missing something here... EDIT: 1:40.38 on Speed Highway Act 2 now!
Hahahahaha I could have given you an audio clip of me yelling "WHY??" at my monitor for that ring dash fail.
I need to get around to adding you guys on Live. I finally did 30-second trials in all the stages so now I have both times and scores for you guys to not see because my times are probably far away from yours on the list. Might as well post 'em for shits though. Spoiler'd 'cause of long list. Spoiler Green Hill: Act 1- 00:55:14; Act 2- 01:50:99 Chemical Plant: Act 1- 01:02:33; Act 2- 02:06:29 Sky Sanctuary: Act 1- 02:12:68; Act 2- 02:20:09 Speed Highway: Act 1- 02:00:06; Act 2- 02:00:55 City Escape: Act 1- 01:50:13; Act 2- 02:43:10 Seaside Hill: Act 1- 02:26:64; Act 2- 02:31:79 Crisis City: Act 1- 02:31:40; Act 2- 02:24:21 Rooftop Run: Act 1- 02:47:97; Act 2- 02:25:78 Planet Wisp: Act 1- 04:09:04; Act 2- 03:43:24 Saikuran is my gamertag if y'all are still addin' folks.
I've got 1:17 in Speed Highway classic. Was number 1 on Steam for a long time, but now hackers seem to be getting involved, and the glitchers are getting better. Someone shaved 11 seconds off my time, and I guess I'm done speed running this game. Green Hill Act 1 is at 18 seconds. So yeah, I'm done.
XBL: AkuNoOuji As for times, I've not really been trying to get uber times, just the achievements. All of which I have, a few days after obtaining the game. >.>
Once my 360 copy arrived I gave up speed runs on the pc, knew cheaters would happen sooner then later :/ I just wish the superjump glitch was not here, already ruins a lot of the classic stages with spindash+superjump=half the stage cleared.
