Sonic Generations on my rig: 60fps, 2560x1440 maximum res = OMG yes. The PC version is *the* version you should be looking at if you have the specs. EDIT: I'm running it on my video/graphics work computer which has: i7 6 Core 8 Gb RAM ATI HD 5770 At 2560x1440, the framerate does dip down when things get busy on screen so 720p is the go for a rock solid 60 with a HD5770 it seems.
Just finished the game. Took me 5 hours. I'll be doing a full video review and have it posted sometime next week. Was pretty fun all the way through, but way too short.
*Phew* So far, no spoilers. Good. I'm still anxiously waiting for my Sonic Generations PC Preorder release in Australia. I rang EB Games and told them if my order went through, and since it's Nov 4th in Australia (It was Nov 3rd in West Time) I thought it would be PC-release. It only applied to consoles, and the PC-Version is going to be released in December Might consider just "donating" money to Sega, and then torrenting the game so I can get it faster :v: (Or I could buy it from Amazon, and play the US Version, thus getting the release faster) No doubt this game would have me fan-jizzing all over the place and saying "WOW!" while my parents think I'm looking at Porn :specialed: aaanyways, I really don't understand the 7.6 score. I think my PC can handle the fast-gameplay judging by the PC-Specs of others: Intel i5 3.2 ghz 4GB Memory ATI Radeon 5750 1 gb It's really biased. If I was reviewing this game, I would honestly give it a 9.5/10 from first impressions! Anyways
Something wrong with HDNL? Though my tracking said at 6:48 AM that it was with Reading Van UK "Out for Delivery". Slough isn't that far from Reading. EDIT: Ah right, history of problems...though I bought my friend a birthday present the other day and it was shipped by them, got there 2 days before the estimate. Weird.
Spoiler So, how do you use Super Sonic? I equipped the skill, but nothing happened when I got 50 rings.
So, question for a friend of mine, there's absolutely no way the PC version is getting a disc-release that doesn't require Steam, right?
Nope. The game's tied deeply into Steamworks - especially the online mode. I mean, sure - "never say never" and so on, but it's pretty much a complete improbability.

Huh. Okay then, thanks. Sounds kind of pretty cheap at that price-tag. o.o EDIT: Ninja'd by the "requires Steam" notice. Crap. Well, I'll see if my friend'd still be willing to get the game this way.
Doesn't say anything on there about Steam :s Are you getting that information from somewhere else? Also, does anyone know if the following laptop specs would be OK for Generations? The CPU and RAM seem ok, but I'm not very tech savvy when it comes to GPUs, and couldn't get my head around it when I looked it up: CPU: Intel i5 2.66ghz RAM: 6gb GPU: Nvidia GeForce 330M
The game uses Steamworks and is tightly connected to it, even though there are games with different DRMs based on distribution method (ie: Witcher 2) but Devil's Details is not one of those devs.
A question for Japanese translators out there: Spoiler I listened to the Japanese audio and I noticed that classic Tails said "Dr. Eggman." Anybody know what the actually lines are?
Finally finished downloading this game on Steam... ... The fuck? Can someone explain to me why this game is crashing right after finishing Green Hill Modern? Also, it may be just the stage, but Classic is kinda meh, and Modern sucks as expected.
How far can I push the game with these specs? Phenom II X4 965 BE 3.4ghz Radeon HD 6870 8 GB ram I'm thinking max settings, but my old processor might hinder the experience a bit.
My CE arrived about an hour ago from Amazon. Considering that I chose super saver delivery and my rural location, I'm highly surprised but very pleased, well done Amazon. The pack contents are of a higher quality than I expected, although the tracks on the CD certainly wouldn't have been my choice and the book doesn't actually contain anything that isn't already on the wiki. The figure is really quite nice, I like that each statue is detachable, I have classic on display and shove modern in a drawer out of sight. The ring has a good weight to it and feels like real metal, unlike the 10th anniversary coin, my number was 1973. It's just a shame I don't have an Xbox 360 to play it on.
Ya GHZ is kind of boring, but that's alright because it's stage one. They get better, although Planet Wisp becomes kind of a cluster fuck towards the end.
I chose express delivery and I'm still waiting for mine. According to Amazon tracking it's out for delivery and has been since 10am this morning. I'm really worried though, because it's HDNL who are notoriously bad. Though not quite as bad as DHL. (I work for a mobile phone company and I never hear the end of customer's problems with them).
