Sonic Generations Megathread

Just wanna say something peeves me a bit.

I never really considered Rouge the Bat and Sonic friends (they're acquaintances, really), nor would I figure her the type to go to birthday parties, especially Sonic's. So what is she doing there?

 

Gotta steal Sonic's presents yo.

 

Well, they did technically save the world together a couple times. I wouldn't really expect Knuckles and the Chaotix to be there otherwise, either.

 

Everyone wants a slice of that cake. Just look at that. How would you not want it?

 

Better question, why isn't she stealing the Master Emerald when Knuckles is obviously ignoring it.

 

Didn't Rouge and Knuckles gain some affectionate feelings for one another by the end if SA2? At least Rouge -> Knuckles was implied. So, she's not stealing his emerald anymore because she doesn't especially care to do that to him.

Assuming the opposite direction is correct, then maybe Knuckles asked Rouge to come to the party.

As for banana mouth, maybe Sonic is a bitch who likes bananas.

But I thought Tails arranged the party? Wouldn't that mean HE invited Rouge? That would explain Shadow not showing, being too emo nowadays. Either way its implied Shadow doesn't like Sonic all that much.

 

I was always just under the impression that Shadow was not there because he was a Rivial. Same for Blaze being there and Silver not.

Why are we still on this? If Tails arranged the party, I imagine he'd only invite people Sonic likes.

Sonic is a good guy. Obviously, he likes everyone. So Tails responded by inviting every living creature in the entire world. It just so happens, these few anthropomorphic animals are all of society.

 

Mentioning the Moon in a Sonic thread!?! That's reason enough to post this!



Anyway, I'm starting to notice the scripts more and more as I play through the demo. It doesn't change the fact that it's loads of fun at all, but I'd just never really stopped to try anything anymore. The only one that really stands out to me is the one in Act 1, with the corkscrew that's going down. Sonic retains all momentum when you let go of the analog stick, no matter what.

Just something I'm getting around to noticing after everyone else. Are there anymore really prominent ones?

 

This game. So fucking beautiful.

About this Rouge at the party issue, all I can say is...
