    Speaking of which, is there any TGS gameplay videos out there? haven't seen the likes of them yet.

    Hopefully this 3DS homing attack rumor can be smashed once we see some gameplay.

    That's hilarious when most of the levels are either cities or grass-based, and even the 3DS version is mostly playing to that too. I'm sure most people wanted other levels in that fitted other tropes, but this is what we're getting, at least they're mixing gameplay up in a few levels.

    IF I bought the 3DS version I'd be accidentally homing attacking all the fucking time in Mushroom Hill. Why? Because I'm habitually used to using insta-shield.

    There's miscommunication Dimps, and then there's just being a bunch of pigheaded cunts. I'm entirely convinced now that the latter is indeed the problem.

    Well to his defense, Rooftop Run for example was turned into a "Carnival" trope.
    Of course variety could be better, Iizuka as always would be better with his mouth shut instead of drooping bullshit now and then.

    Green Hill is also more muted than the original, so changing the colours isn't a surprise, although the difference is bigger in this case. I'm not sure what to think of it. On one hand it would make the ruins have that unique look but on the other, wouldn't the original colours look horrid and make it feel cluttered? It doesn't look like Adabat to me either. That one was solid grey stone, Sky Sanctuary has a green or blue tint to it.

    Colour decisions aside, Sky Sanctuary looks nice. I prefer this to the mayan theme associated with the echidnas in Adventure. I was playing Skies of Arcadia the other day and this reminded me of it, just a little bit. That old but modern look to things. Someone mentioned Laputa and I agree. They are ruins, but they look snazzy for things that old, and it gives it an interesting feel.

    The Death Egg is very obvious. I'm not sure how people missed it. However, I agree the grey colour isn't suitable. The structure doesn't stand out from the rest of the level at all.

    I just thought right now of that night setting of City Escape when fighting Big Foot in SA2, it could fit well with that Shadow battle.

    People were commenting on the greyness of the textures as soon as they showed up. I'll reiterate that Sky Sanctuary looks absolutely wonderful, it just doesn't look like Sky Santuary without the green towers, blue and purples poles and the yellow stone. If they called it an entirely new stage I'd see it as an homage to Sky Sanctuary, like Seaside Hill is to Green Hill. Different enough to be something new, similar enough to know where the inspiration came from.

    So something that hasn't been announced yet, Speed Highway. I hope "at dawn" makes it, as I would really like to hear a remix.

    Hey guys, just a quick one since I only just got home (and need sleep.) I took a picture of the Generations title screen at GAMEFest for you guys; it's different (and the models look shit imo.)

    Green Hill and City Escape were both playable there. The 3DS one had GHZ, MHZ and the Boss playable. I jumped in one of the loops in GHZ Act 2 and it crashed. I never tried MHZ Act 2, but the classic stuff worked well. I told the SEGA rep it crashed but I never stuck around to give it another go...

    What a waste. That stage was never anything more than a very watered-down Speed Highway anyways.

    Speaking of which, is this version ACTUALLY going to be getting GBA/Rush stages? All I'm seeing are console levels being revealed for this thing.

    Also in regards to the Shadow fight, does anyone else thing they're gonna include bits of either Final Rush or Final Chase into the fight to spice it up a bit? Like a few rail grinding sections and whatnot? Surely they won't make it just a straight platform like the original was. Especially considering that it's going to be a boost-a-thon now.

    The models look fine, it's just M.Sonic's face that looks crappy. And I hope the background there becomes more complete as you progress through the game.

  20. I have a feeling they are doing the 3 Era's on the 3DS too, but since the majority of the known series was on consoles, they are picking from those levels for those eras.

    Now that the portable titles are more well known with the GBA and DS and not like their console counterparts watered down, I have a feeling they will be picking ONE well known GBA Level, and ONE well known Rush Level to represent the "Modern" Era for the portable systems.

    Let's check how many levels that will add up to:

    Sonic 1: Green Hill
    Sonic 2: Casino Night
    Sonic & Knuckles: Mushroom Hill
    Sonic Adventure: Emerald Coast
    Sonic Adventure 2: Radical Highway
    Sonic Advance Series Level
    Sonic Rush Series Level

    That equals 7 levels, which is how many they have stated the 3DS will be receiving.

    Calling it will be EXACTLY like this.
